  • FWIW one of my favorite reviewers gave UP 4 stars, one of best of year (vs he thought Wall-E was one of best ever… #
  • Deb saw UP, loved it, said bring tissues. Saw Wall-E same night, says hard to compare the two, so different, both good. #
  • So I have 3 movies queued to see, no time and little money to do so. Ugh. #
  • Kind of late to bed but all should sleep soundly and its night off for me. #
  • Glad I’m this sleepy and will get right back to bed. #
  • Grand total about 9 hours sleep. Yay! #
  • It’s fun to be covered by MassHealth and get a $2500 bill for blood tests “your insurance rejected.” Go communism! #
  • @phillymac Poor Sarek. #
  • @plumcrzy I always find it interesting that he was that way all along, yet was nothing career-wise, really, before Idol. #
  • Doing site backups and setting up some new stuff. #
  • Oh, and switching over to #cotc to get all that looked at and tweeted because, hello, it’s already Sunday. #
  • And either this or the next CotC will be the official first at the new location, though I intend to migrate a copy of past stuff. #
  • Apparently my body has decided it needs a normal amount of sleep and WILL make up for it on weekends AND with unplanned naps. 2+ hours. #
  • @dmataconis I think of him as LBJ. Now being followed & built on by Wilson Nixon-Carter. Latter doesn’t make former any better. #
  • @listener42 A scene straight out of my house! #
  • I didn’t surf myself for CotC this week so I fear it’ll be light, as most entries are spammy or crap or off-topic. Will run out of time. #
  • Continuing blog setups while wondering what to serve for supper. Obvious answer: leftover fried rice. Duh. #
  • Pork fried rice and grape tomatoes very well received by kids. I’m eating leftover cauliflower. #

  • Sad about having to go to bed. REALLY need to run dishwasher but it ain’t gonna happen. Trying to figure alarm strategy so I wake. #
  • 1:40 quiet alarm woke me. Dismissed. Never heard the LOUD 2:10 alarm. Woke 12 minutes before work, which is minimum driving time if ready. #
  • Henry wants me to put him to bed NOW so here I go. Val’s already asleep, for that matter. #
  • Heh. Just set alarm to play ode to joy tune. When it goes off at 1:42 AM. #
  • Don’t expect to be woken by Val crying. Looking for mom, finding she wasn’t here. No idea what woke her but she’s back in her spot. #
  • Back to bed! Have a whole other hour of sleep possible, after all. Can’t blow it. #
  • Poor kid sitting up absolutely wife awake watching popeye. At least She’s not actively sad. #
  • Oh well. At least I won’t sleep through work. Kids are awfully restless. May not bode well for mom when she is home to sleep while I work. #
  • At least, presumably she’ll be home… Hasn’t failed me yet. #
  • Val still awake. Changed videos for her. She was excited I made coffee. Texted Deb to warn her she has an insomniac looking for her. #
  • Note to self: Quantum leakage. #
  • @phillymac A cowardly lie in? A lie in king? Can’t hide your lie in eyes? #
  • Need to work on CotC today. And a bunch of other crap. Also saw a job last night to apply for, even mostly qualified, 45k, in my town. #
  • Wondering what might be better than WordPress for a directory/listing-like site deployed relatively easily not coded from scratch myself. #
  • Can’t believe I just drew a hamster with wings and a halo. Almost plausible, except it looks too cat-like. #
  • Val has been having a tantrum almost nonstop since she got up. I’ve stopped it a few minutes a few times but then she resumes. Getting old. #
  • Well, that’s resolved. Knew she needed to eat. She is hypersensitive to sugar crashes or hunger or whatever. Doesn’t grok her own needs. #
  • @ScottAllen I think you have to be female to understand it. #
  • @abigvictory Don’t they do that to everyone? In which case, how can it be TMI? #
  • Oh right! I just updated resume. then managed to sidetrack before e-mailing it. In fact, fired up e-mail to do so, read, replied, forgot. #
  • Resume and enTHUsiastic* e-mail sent regarding tech support job right in Middleboro. * Was thinking of @phillymac as I wrote it. #
  • @Shurakai The job listing on web site says 40-70k, vs Craigslist saying 45k. And site has manager job at 80k, but I’m borderline for entry. #
  • Have to get past no CS degree, minimal Linux experience, minimal backup/recovery experience. #
  • Yet vastly more experience in general than required even for the management job, let alone the support jobs. Under 10 minute commute. #
  • Do not pass Go. Go directly to taking Sadie outside. Or she will Just Diiiie. #
  • @shartlen “Do these contents make me look fat?” #
  • @phillymac Did Twitter change to Facebook while I wasn’t looking? #
  • Biking consisted of Val coasting downhill and spilling, sadie pushing hers around and sitting on it. #
  • At carver playground #
  • Henry loves the tall steep slide, now that he’s awake. #
  • Wondering what my best food option may be from here, not sure I want mcdonalds or all the way to middleboro bk. #
  • Beginning to hate boy next door being in our yard to play when we get home after 4 hours already sucked from my day. #

  • I’ve been ready to collapse to sleep for 3 hours. Better do so before I become wakeful. Plus there’s only time for 4.5 hours sleep now. #
  • Seem to have started sleeping deeply, no apparent reason, so I was almost 1/2 hr late for work. #
  • @phillymac Install high wattage bulbs!!!!!!!! #
  • How about #fallowfriday, in which everyone tweets less, especially if it means shedding some #memes. #
  • This was supposed to be a nicer day, not actively rainy. So much for “you can ride bikes tomorrow” last night. #
  • Fell asleep this morning for a while, for kids pummeling me values of sleep. Can barely stay awake still. It almost feels like I’m sick. #
  • More coffee probably a good idea. Start early supper. Do some cleaning. Have stuff I wanted to post but need to move a bit for back’s sake. #
  • @ScottAllen Mine always comes out younger on those. Red meat is good for you. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. #
  • A recipe that calls for turmeric? Never used mine, finally gave it to my sister when she needed. Should get more sometime for completeness. #
  • Experimenting with pork in oven with Chinese-inspired rather than barbecue coating, to go with fried rice. Need to use cauliflower so… #
  • Was wondering about possibility of frying it to be different. Cruising recipes online to see what the variants are. #
  • @marshellis http://bit.ly/Keyif Impressed with recommended book just from a few pages of preview what are boundaries. #
  • My exact problem to solve: “she did not experience herself as a free agent. It never occurred to her that she had the freedom to respond,… #
  • … to make choices, to limit the ways his behavior affected her. She felt that she was a victim of whatever he did or did not do.” #
  • I’ll have to find the actual book. I can gloss over the religious aspects. Wisdom is wisdom. #
  • Anyway, back to cleaning the kitchen. Kids thought carpeting the floor with construction paper was a great idea. #

  • @sarahk47 I think of 1/4 acre as a tiny postage stamp of a lot, almost like being in a city on top of your neighbors. #
  • @phillymac Unless you’re in the soda business, in which case you’d want to move that pop. #
  • Better shower before I fall asleep and miss my appointment. Well, as if kids would allow that much sleep. #
  • @robmay Thus ended capitalism? That’s so 2 weeks ago! (Was so amused I put it in CotC after I saw it linked.) #
  • Are You Thin Skinned or Thick Skinned? - http://tinyurl.com/qvq9cs - You Are Thin-Skinned #blogthings #
  • Right, I brewed more coffee! And need pain killers, since I took none in the last 15 hours. #
  • Helps when IDE cable is seated properly. And when you reseat it, it seats properly and doesn’t fail to be apparent in its looseness. #
  • Guess it’s my turn to wait for someone being late. #
  • Just noticed my mother rd my call this am. Oops. #
  • Sadie got a new bike! Red. Helmet is blue. Taking her and Henry outside while Deb takes Val to store for her turn. #
  • Didn’t realize concept of pedaling would be hard to teach. She tends to put on brakes. #
  • She is having trouble looking ahead and steering too. Had same spill same spot twice. Helmet no help for hands. #
  • Ironic to have the helmet bonk Sadie on the head after being taken off of her. On top of her neck being pinched when it was unbuckled. #
  • Val got a 16″ bike like Sadie’s, but purple/themed, and she picked an adorable pink helmet with pandas #
  • Sadie’s blue helmet has spiders, and would go well with her Spiderman shirt, which is one of her favorites. #
  • Ready for bed! Instead need to clear living room enough for pedaling practice. then return to working on kitchen. And put meat in freezer! #
  • Got meat for today and yesterday, then Deb cooked yesterday, bought BK today (and a Star Trek glass for me!), so it was moot. #
  • We added 3 Klingon ships to our collection, joining the Kelvin, shuttle, and 2 Enterprises. Sadie still wants a guy with a blue shirt. #

  • People setting off loud bright fireworks outside bedroom window as I try to settle in for my 4 hours sleep. Yay. #
  • Apparently I am not alone in dismay for loud explosions by my house late at night. Woke£r and heard next door telling at them. #
  • That is, *yelling* at them. They have something that makes firecrackers sound like fingers snapping. Sound sleep? Gone. #
  • The neighbors keep making me glad I’ll be moving, but bothered I’ll be leaving ,y kids here. And sad I’ll be in same basic area, presumably. #
  • @ScottAllen Your “firing” description sounds like me! #
  • @CotC http://bit.ly/17vaud #
  • Feel like I may be sleepy enough to fall back asleep. Plus the chair is hurting my back so best get out of it. Sad alarm rings in 90 mins. #
  • Going to bed. Again. Changing alarms to give extex half hour potentially. #
  • That felt like more sleep than it was, but still way too brief. #
  • Deb should be home any minute. Logically went to the mountain, given the opportunity. #
  • Coffee must be done brewing. Hungry but afraid to eat anything. #
  • @chucksimmins Portugal is not Hispanic. #
  • @phillymac Crushing what? Spirits? Egos? Hopes and dreams? Orange? #
  • @sarahk47 You are Whipping Inflation Now? Cool! Because, you know, we’re really gonna need that soon. #
  • Have side of old PC, checking it out, it’s running currently, but power supply is loud. Purged dust. Sure it’s video and prob power too. #
  • Ah, it just shut off on me with no provocation. Let’s try that power supply now. Clearly reproduces easily enough to test. #
  • Also need to find a serial mouse for Sadie’s machine. #
  • When the fuck did we start making power supplies with TWO standard connectors that are USELESS in any machine I own??? #
  • Seriously, I can’t even use it. Not unless I spelunk through my odd crap and find a couple of Y connector extensions. Outrageous. #
  • Glad I organized all that stuff at one point, had 2 Y connectors, and had them in easy reach. #
  • @phillymac I still like the orange part. I think the Waponis were onto something. #
  • @Shurakai You say that like it’s a bad thing. Seriously, though, do need to improve that situation. And not by cheap power supply next time. #
  • So far so good, except it’s not seeing the 2nd hard drive. #
  • @Shurakai Yes, and I need to peruse it again. Ended up more than I was sort of targeting, and IIRC had no sound card. #
  • Computer seems fine, but it’s not recognizing the big secondary drive with mass amounts of stuff stored on it. #
  • Probably the Y connector has a bad end. #
  • Deb made tasty pasta with red sauce and burger for supper. All the frozen chicken was suspect in a freezer burned not thawing right way. #
  • Thus change of plans from alfredo. #
  • Not the power. Maybe jumpers need reseating or if they’re on cable select need to be made explicit. #

  • @plumcrzy You say that like it’s a bad thing… #
  • @phillymac Makes scents to me. #
  • Sadie had 4 servings of my dairy-free mashed potatoes. And a lot of ginger soy glazed pork chop (which she kept calling beef, but hey). #
  • On another note, how did we produce offspring who are sports loving social butterflies? Henry is dying to play basketball. #
  • Bedtime schedule slippage will kill me tomorrow night when I am back to work. #
  • Sleep is good. #
  • Mmm… Sleep. #

  • The Watercolor Test - http://tinyurl.com/otye8o - You Are Highly Colorful #blogthings #
  • Trying to get a handle on what I am getting done today, merging what’s priority/deadline with what dovetails well. #
  • I’d be happier if kids weren’t mothing me when I need to tear into this room. #
  • Wonder if it’s worth keeping my Ryobi cordless drill with dead battery, trying to replace just that, or getting new one someday. #
  • Have the kids engaged in an indoor ballgame. Clever. #
  • I think I prefer Deb having earlier hours. Feel like my day starts at 2 and ends at 5 this way. #
  • Kids today had their first exposure to freezer pops or whatever you call flavored sugar water frozen in plastic tubes. They are in bath now. #
  • Amazed descrip of Ryobi cordless drill says a charge will drive 235 screws. Mine wouldn’t have done that when battery was still good. #
  • Looking forward to a fresh (relatively) start. Guess I’m like a Windows 2000 machine that’s on its 6th year of up time. Like reboot already. #
  • @CaseySoftware The real fun will be when the new owners of GM & Chrysler have trouble selling new bonds. #
  • Finally looked at the actual desk audit notice, and that’s exactly what it is - an attempt to be sure the EIC is valid. #
  • Annoying but not end of the world kind of stuff. There’s not a lot they could argue with. #
  • Doing so stuff with domain hosting so that’s ready to go. #
  • Uh-oh. My old computer is failing to boot, after its usual abrupt power off due to intense graphics processing. #
  • Weirdly acts like power supply in part, graphics card/driver in part. Guess it’ll get to try out the new power supply ASAP. #
  • @drjjoyner Isn’t that something you herniate, if you’re unfortunate enough? #
  • Wonder what I ate or contracted yesterday. #
  • Sure don’t feel like cooking for the kids, and hope it’s clear by time I have to work at 3:30 AM. #

  • Trying to figure out if good Scrabble, Parcheesi, Clue, and Battleship are all Deb’s. The last is the only one definite is hers. #
  • Even if I weren’t packing anything, I’d need to continue the project of not removing stuff in this tiny room that isn’t mine. #
  • It’s rough having the kids come insist it’s time for bed. #
  • Sleep is good. And I’ve been pushed out of bed, besides being wakeful of my own accord. #
  • @robmay Don’t plan to go back to the other, memorialized so someone would stop looking at it against her better sense, and to help me stop. #
  • @robmay And I was having trouble using both for slightly different purposes, so being me but more civil here has to do. #

  • Who needs a parade when you have a burned church and all it entails to spectate from the town hall lawn. #

  • Suddenly dead tired. Was late with supper, then insisted on everyone bathing and getting clean hair and teeth. Silly kids. #
  • Val requires conditioner now, which adds to the excitement. OTOH Sadie is on verge of being fully self-cleaning. #
  • @phillymac Perhaps it wandered off with the gander? #
  • @phillymac Or preferred the company of two all beef patties? #
  • Speaking of which, why name a cow Bessie or Elsie when you can call her Patty? #
  • Sigh… Dishes. Then bed. After drugs for the back. Poor Henry crashed on floor by my chair, didn’t quite make it. #
  • Yay. Getting audited by the MA DOR. Apparently they hate giving the earned income credit. At least if you have various business income. #
  • @Shurakai Shouldn’t be *that* bad. Kind of annoying though. #
  • CD drive on computer I gave Sadie won’t open. Yay. Also? Hate to have given it because it’s a treasure trove of old data. #
  • For instance, e-mail from 1998/1999, early documentation of the old business, etc. Some of which carried to other machines but… #
  • EVERY time I sit down in office, 3 kids invade and hang around me being loud and/or distracting. And they bring toys. Then leave them here. #

  • Finding it hard to do some dishes when it’s past bedtime and weird evening. #
  • Seems sad to set 2nd alarm for 2 AM. #
  • Managed to wake before the alarms, partly because Henry was restless. Somehow got out of there without him waking though. #
  • So I had to leave early yesterday & told mgr there were carts to empty by door 6 & stuff staged to go on an additional cart, standard proc. #
  • They *failed to notice* most of the stuff I’d had to leave *in the normal location* and actually started releasing drivers before doing so. #
  • Not sure what was unclear about “trailers are empty, there’s a cart for each belt and stuff that didn’t fit staged for belt 2, I have to go” #
  • Oh well. Guess I’ll have to be specific next time. #
  • Glad I got out before 7 this AM anyway. Turns out there were only TWO days I needed to be home early for Deb cover for manager’s vacation. #
  • @Shurakai is a dry rube a gullible hick who doesn’t drink? #
  • Contemplating giving Sadie my old p200 but sound card in it is sb gold with stereo speaker jacks, not standard. #
  • Forgot the old computer I turned over to Sadie had my old copy of Illustrator installed. Kind of tough to use, but still cool for her. #
  • Put in a CT4520 and sound works, but not in the couple games available. We’ll see what it does with Magic School Bus. #

  • Poor Henry heard my alarm better than I did. #
  • They were sad when I had to leave, clocking out at 7:06. But I left it in good shape, just minutes work left to clear up. #
  • Tomorrow we’re really shorthanded and start at 3:15 instead of 3:30. Guessing I’ll cover again for the guy who was out today. #
  • I’m SO good at it, they’d replace him with me if he wouldn’t be beyond outraged. Not sure what job they’d assign him to instead. #
  • I’m pleased with the complement. It’s cool because there’s logistics involved, holding in your head what is happening & needs to happen. #
  • To be efficient, be in the right place at the right time, and not get backed up or overwhelmed. There’s also an accuracy & logic factor. #
  • @Shurakai Didn’t realize there was typo and thought you were maligning Hannaford. That’s RIBS, not runs. Heh. Wish I had a grill. #
  • Forgot this weekend was Memorial Day. I have Tuesday morning off, which is cool but hope the rest of it runs long to recoup pay. #
  • @phillymac Karamu? I never had figured out what they were saying there, nor was I interested enough to look it up. #
  • Two kids are up. Impressively late sleep. #
  • THIS is too funny: http://bit.ly/OXnbJ #
  • Remarkably hard to stay awake today. In fact, didn’t for a while. Useful, that. #
  • @FroynLaven Ooh, I don’t usually get retweeted. Followed a link to #WolframAlpha and the #montypython thing came to mind as a question. #
  • Fantasy as a literary genre is cool, but I wonder can we handle 4 years of magical thinking here in Realityland. #
  • @sarahk47 Besides, “A is A” is much more concise. #
  • Darn, had to reject a good workorder because I have the kids *and* don’t carry computer parts. Maybe 2 hrs = 2 days pay at my job. Oh well. #
  • Availability matters. #
  • Anyway, gotta get ready to get the twerps out of the house as promised. #
  • I’ll be mortified to bring kids in this Wendy’s again. And Henry was thirsty to have drank so little punch. #
  • Brought kids to west side playground just in time for 3 friendly kids same ages to be arriving. #
  • Didn’t get kids back in house before not next door came over to play zealously with them. #

  • At pierce playground with kids. At least it isn’t soccer? #

  • @robmay Thinking of you a while ago because was having imagined talk with counselor RE Joe vs the Volcano & mental clarity, thus Meg Ryan. #
  • The “brain cloud” thing still amuses me. #
  • There’s a lot to be said for the kids wanting to go to bed so badly they drag me along. #
  • @Shurakai Excellent movie! Joe Versus the Volcano. Hanks, Ryan as 3 characters, and amusing appearance by Abe Vigoda. #
  • We start at 3:30 from now on. If this is what volume will be like, good thing. #
  • @danabrit It’s usually not. #
  • @phillymac Apogee? Didn’t they used to make computer games? #
  • @Shurakai Yep! Hanks is a depressed hypochondriac. Goes to dr who tells him he has a “brain cloud,” limited time to live. Hijinks ensue. #
  • Kids have no respect for naps. #
  • @jaygarmon That’s only if you forgot to have it as the greatest of all possible breakfasts. Mmm… pizza. #
  • There went one of my tooth hole stitches, answering the question of whether they’d fall out themselves and how long it’d take. #
  • Kids would love go to playground, and I already fed them lunch. Perhaps I should let my lack of motivation take me in that direction. #
  • Though my better half was also threatening such a thing, or the idea of all of us going. So far she is catching up on sleep, hello, day off. #
  • Wondering where Val learned to call people “butthead.” #
  • Damn, Life was canceled! I mean the show, not mine. #
  • @jaycaruso Guess I’m not smart enough to start a separate instance of Firefox if there is reason to do that rather than another tab. #
  • Starting to wonder if Deb is OK, but it’s possible, even probable, she got little sleep while I was at work on top of rough night to then. #
  • And she’s fine! I’m relieved. Sleep IS good. #
  • Just told Sadie being surreptitious means you like maple. #
  • #weconnectwednesday Tweeting my LinkedIn profile: http://www.linkedin.com/in/jaysolo, seek work, feel free to connect: marshe at elhide.com. #
  • @OneFineJay @seanhackbarth Deb got me a bottle of Mt Dew Throwback and it was great. Thought it seemed crisper, taste test may be needed. #
  • Need to get ready to go. Maybe I’ll do some CotC tweets first. #
  • @phillymac I’d say you’re welcome, but, um… I missed the boat. Maybe next grand. #
  • Time to get out the door to post office, maybe library, Stop & Shop. Impressed library is open until 8. #
  • Have kids at pierce playground. Happy kids. #

  • Monday night is party night on the 3rd floor, above us. Yay. #
  • @phillymac Scary indeed! #
  • #tdg Call it 6/9 complete. Living room partial, but did a bedroom, on top of bonus bathroom, plus back to dishpan zero after supper. #
  • Count much? #tdg 7/9 done enough. #
  • Should look for my old watch. Have to leave work at 7 if we run later, could use that in my pocket to keep eye on time. #
  • First some coffee! #
  • And 39 degrees? Sheesh! #
  • @phillymac At first glance I read that as “I am forgoing WORK this morning” and wondered what walking at lunch had to do with that. #
  • Very successful 1st day of getting out of work by about 7:00 while Deb is department manager for the week & working earlier shift. #
  • It’s crazy there, but I have no doubt she’ll show them how it’s done. Sad it’s so awkward building her career vs what I need to do. #
  • I love morning kid hug time. #
  • CotC stuff tweeted. Trying to find some gumption beyond that. No shortage of stuff to do! #
  • Need to analyze what I need to do on a larger scale so I can select what to put on a list that might actually fit in a day. #
  • Also? Need to decide on supper. Sadie wants homemade fries, but if I make shredded beef I’d serve with rice. Or on rolls I don’t have. Hmm. #
  • There’s a whole new class of misspellings, you know, in the form of nonsense words phones make when interpretive text fails unnoticed. #
  • “Kids these days! They sure make ‘em like they used to.” #
  • Henry made up for being up since 5:30 by napping. I did with him, in part. Val was PROUD that she made that hard, ultimately truncated it. #
  • @pixxiespaz That was one of the ones I got cheap at Job Lot when my supply ran out. Not sure the cheap brand is always as good but… #
  • Finished living room, moved furniture, folded laundry, organized some stuff. That scratches the surface. Crockpot shredded beef underway. #
  • Not sure what I did with furniture will work. Benefit of my moving may be to eliminate our excess furniture for the place problem. #
  • Augh. #

  • @listener42 Used to make a whole package of spaghetti just for me, eat it in 3 sittings. Similar other stuff. Can do even better though. #
  • Val seems to have decided Sadie’s name is Rory, or something that sounds like it. And she likes the full version of her own name. #
  • Oh well. Time to get Henry off my lap and into bed. #
  • Spotty t-mobile. Service is goupbh to drive me crazy. #
  • #cotc Carnival of the Capitalists for 5/18/09: http://bizosphere.com/?p=173 #
  • @MaddyPumilia You just seem older! #
  • @ScottAllen @DuvalRyda Ah, guess I’m not completely addicted yet! #
  • Weird waking up with Deb gone… and well after 8 AM, though sleep wasn’t entirely sound so not effectively as long as could be. #
  • The Stripping Down Test - http://tinyurl.com/q8q2ke - You Are Observant in Life #blogthings #
  • How Do You Think? - http://tinyurl.com/cobabq - You Think Concretely #blogthings (True! I do sometimes feel like there’s concrete in there.) #
  • I hate when 3 of 4 answers on a silly quiz all apply. #
  • #tdg 1) Table 2) Sweep K 3) Mop K 4) Fridge 5) Dishes 6) Clean L 7) Buy TP&PT 8) Verify Files 9) Start kid PC project #
  • What Bathroom Product Are You? - http://tinyurl.com/pfebvx - You Are Shampoo #blogthings #
  • @jsbelfiore Nope, it won’t. I’ve thought that since I first wrote about real estate being a dangerous bubble in IIRC 2003. #
  • @FroynLaven ROFL! That is awesome! You could probably make a real quiz of “what server are you” if you wanted. #
  • I’d intended to use making a quiz as the goal for helping me learn PHP, beyond the tiny bit I picked up modifying stock contact form. #
  • #tdg Done 4/9 Plus bonus sweep & mop bathroom. #7 Done via Deb buying the stuff instead. Really just four to go. #
  • Kids could probably use food, at least. On hold until floor dries. New mop leaves it even wetter than old. #
  • Could start living room purge, at least. #
  • Feel like I touched on my inner Acidman, using the phrase “anal rape by judicial decree.” Or perhaps my inner @Velociman at least. #
  • Tend kids then either more cleaning or CotC tweets accumulated so far. #

  • Time to go to bed before I fall asleep here and/or kids melt down. I think CotC is over 60 entries for the week. Oops. #
  • I seem to have become a bit more capable of sleeping on my days off. Yay for that! #
  • @the_night_queen Happy birthday! Yesterday, then? Or today? #
  • @GautamGhosh Oops. was in the CotC Twitter account when I replied. Job hunting? I did long ago, but it’s a sore spot. It can be useful IMHO. #
  • Caught up CotC, will be breeze to finalize tonight. Need to do a few minutes web work & a bill. Run dishwasher. Computer work. Cleaning. #
  • This calls for more coffee! #
  • @pixxiespaz I don’t generally use much ginger on chicken. That sounds good! Mine is usually garlic, rosemary, other herbs, salt, pepper. #
  • Definitely need to have a different computer as my primary, if it’s this hard to find stuff like, oh, client invoices from last year. #
  • This computer was put in service in 2000, not counting it was a total rebuild of late 1999 one that fried. #
  • Day went poof to some Henry nap time. Maybe I can salvage. First guess I’ll tie up CotC, pushing 70 entries I believe. #
  • Laptop/notebook will be high on my list as I reboot my life. Relatively, as I can manage without but it’s useful & I’m allegedly a tech guy. #
  • Don’t think I can get in trouble for mentioning goal of moving from here to my own place in about (or before) 2 months. #
  • It’s going to be odd, cooking for one, but be interesting to apply what I’ve learned that I thought would have been helpful when single. #
  • I’ll need to tie up medical stuff before then, as no telling when I will have coverage, Romney’s poison legacy penalties notwithstanding. #

  • Really need sleep. Hope I catch up this weekend. #
  • @sharone75 Cool! It’s the right kind of area for them, so makes sense. #
  • @Pistachio Late December back in ‘63? #
  • Remarkably, everyone is still asleep, apparently in their own beds. As opposed to migrating in with their mother, rendering her less so. #
  • Looked up renewal of primary hosting vs semiannual ad revenue timing. A week apart in the right order! #
  • Pretty picture of my General Gao’s turkey meatballs: http://bit.ly/BO9SO #
  • Gearing up to take kids on grandpa visit and/or trip to playground. #
  • Trying to stay awake in the meantime! Can’t believe I’m this prone to just dozing off. #
  • Good visit with grandparents. #
  • @MikeG1 No wonder people are agitating for him to resign. Hadn’t been paying attention to details. #
  • Kids got two Enterprises and a Kelvin in their kid meals from BK! Sadie wanted a guy not a ship. Then she wanted Kelvin, not Enterprise. #
  • Enterprise zooms. Kelvin says “red alert!” She finds that more appealing. #

  • Well holy crap. 18.7 hours last week and my 2nd or 3rd biggest check here ever. Tomorrow would have to be 5 hrs to match it. #
  • Funny to learn management thought I was awesome the other day from the manager who was on vacation, relating what she’d been told. #
  • @OneFineJay I believe they did a blog post about it, and there’s a technical/resource issue involved. #
  • @OneFineJay Here it is: http://bit.ly/vk3QC #
  • Ended up not driving Deb to Boston, and she decided not to use T, just drive herself, do some stuff nearby after appointment. #
  • Need to feed kids, clean stuff, get Sadie set with working computer, see about a 2nd/3rd kid computer, fix their desk, etc etc. #
  • Setting kids up with computers helps clean out this room, so bonus. Need to work on my other computer, too. And invoice for web work. #
  • @jsbelfiore Or at least the schools and their associated teachers. #
  • @Shurakai Thoughts on best parts/combo of parts for good machine for Gary? #
  • @Shurakai Not really an object, though assumption is something decent circa $500 sans monitor. #
  • The guys in Shocking Blue in video of Venus look like kids to me. Not like they’re Light of Doom, but still… I’m apparently old. #
  • @Shurakai Whatever you do, don’t combine fast food + sedentary job + beta blockers. #
  • Augh. Forgot my blood pressure pills this morning! I might have energy at work tomorrow. Dreadful. #
  • Apparently I am in scheming mode. Shades of, say, when I was pondering CotC originally. Much has background processed long term. #
  • Driven partly by fear of lack of work forthcoming, partly by needing all the spare $ I can get even if so, partly by curtailed options. #
  • Ad potential on most of my sites is tapped & not under my control (per se - I can always direly remove/refuse). Alternatives are required. #
  • Apparently cleaning is good for the creative thinking juices. I should remember that. #

  • Sad it’s time for bed. OTOH perhaps better to be stoned asleep than awake. Deb thought the look on my face was disturbing & unprecedented. #
  • And the kids clearly need to be asleep. Then they can’t harm each other. #
  • BK Happy- er, whatever they call em, meal toys currently are the coolest ever. Sadie got shuttle that says “approaching drop zone.” #
  • Henry got Kirk, which is totally appropriate. “Kirk to Enterprise.” Val got Scotty. “I’m giving it all she’s got captain!” Deb bought glass. #
  • Spock glass. Very cool. #
  • I didn’t bleed to death in my sleep from my tooth socket. Go me! #
  • Slept well. Could happily do so much longer. Impressed how well a couple Tylenol dulled the residual tooth pain once I was up. #
  • You’d never know I’d had a tooth pulled late testedat afternoon, unless you saw me spit blood just now. Rocked work again and still high … #
  • What Element Were You Born Into? - http://tinyurl.com/r9gbv2 - You Were Born into the Metal Element #blogthings #
  • @Pistachio What if I’m beyond help? :> #
  • Next week’s appointment is at 9 AM instead of 11, since I have a doc appointment, and turns out she has a meeting this makes easier. #
  • Trying to figure out what to do next as I get my day underway. Oh wait! How’d it get to be almost 5:00 already? #
  • Caught up on CotC tweets. It’s getting much more extensive than it had been, so good thing. #
  • Shoot, almost 6:00?! How’d that happen? 2 hours or so to bedtime. Days of stuff to do before then. #
  • @Pistachio Heh. Hit close to home, as in a sense that is what I’m working on lately. #
  • RT @Lileks It’s not pizza if it doesn’t have meat. It’s a round hot ironed salad. #

  • RT @nytimesscience Nicks Discovered on Space Shuttle Atlantis http://bit.ly/xkGue Me: what a departure from her Fleetwood Mac days. #
  • Odd, the spot where I had mole removed has gradually started hurting regularly, even though it’s all healed. #
  • Henry finally slept, but kicked me out of bed. #
  • Alarm goes off in 3 hours, 53 mins, so gyess I’d better lat down in here and try again. #
  • A three hour sleep. Not enough. Now have Gilligan’s Island tune in head. #
  • I rock. And on 3 hours sleep. #
  • Did some good thinking about goals while I unloaded 2.5 trailers. Still have to collect thoughts more before tomorrow morning, but progress. #
  • Think this AM I was affected by what I call the Hypertensive Energy Cycle. Forgot to take pills yesterday. #
  • RT @robmay government’s decision to subordinate Chrysler secured creditors to junior creditors is one of the worst decisions in US history #
  • @robmay Why yes, yes it is. Huge CotC fodder this week. #
  • WTF? Just read about #fixreplies and the change makes zero sense. If I didn’t want to see all, I’d not turn that setting on. #
  • @abigvictory They really make a hash of things. #
  • Torn over idea of taking kids to bank with me, maybe store, leaving Deb sleeping and in quieter environment. Really didn’t want to, but… #
  • I don’t foresee another way they will get out of the house, even for a ride in the car, on what seems to be a super nice day. #
  • Kids aren’t going to stand for being left home, so basically off we go. #
  • Hey look, a hole in my jaw! #
  • @BeantownSports So did you like it? #
  • Now if the site of former tooth would stop bleeding, I’d be all set. Deb is on way to get my prescriptions filled. As numbness fades, ouch! #
  • Besides vicodin and antibiotics, Deb will bring back BK for kids so I don’t have to worry about it, given my lack of desire/ability to eat. #

  • @FroynLaven This makes me really want to install it on a spare machine. but all the spares are kind of low end. #
  • Wish I wouldn’t wake just enough before alarm to make more sleep impossible. At least I got tons my nights off for a change. #
  • Another huge day at work, short people and heavy again. The extra $ is good, but it’s odd we don’t reflect the broader economy. #
  • Our ad service keeps not telling us about ads that cancel. Just got a buy from one that was already there. Apparently lapsed, returned. #
  • @Shurakai Sky of blue, and sea of green… Oh wait, you’re in Ohio. #
  • What Taste Are You? - http://tinyurl.com/o9l69r - You Are Salty #blogthings #
  • @phillymac “I used to have them just about all the time, but I found a way to get out of it. Let me tell you bout it!” #
  • @y2vonne Only if they can snatch a pebble from your palm? #
  • @BeantownSports I would, but you’re not. And it’s light years away from that crowded night in the Westgate lobby so long ago. #
  • Just sacrificed a couple hours holding/napping inconsolable youngest, whose sister’s had *no idea* how he got hurt. #
