- Sleep is good. Pain is bad. #
- Woke at midnight. Ready to return to sleep. Due up in an hour. Yay. #
- Someday I will sleep again. Really. #
- Another solid day. The hour a week I dropped recently really matters. #
- Giving a quick few minutes pause to see if Deb responds to my text asking should I pick up some things. #
- The girls are sitting in my chair playing with the Boobah Zone site. Sadie requested it. #
- I am trying to down coffee, stay awake, fend off urge to consume Calories Galore (less popular sister) be ready for 11 AM session. #
- Got no coffee before work then boss tormented me with a stopwatch. #
- Sigh… Guess I have to get dressed and go to that nerve wracking first counseling appointment now. #
- Then I can come home and catch up on sleep! Oh wait… #
- Poor kids thought they were going with me. #
- Well that went fast! Very pleased. #
- @pixxiespaz If a hint drops in the fores when nobody is around, does it still make a sound? #
- Off to the playground with the monsters. Otherwise I have to figure out how to recover files from bad hard drive. #
- If I can stay awake. #
- @pixxiespaz Not a class, exactly, and it was great. Was not expecting to have to explain about “nothing” that happened in 2/08 during it. #
- @pixxiespaz You can cover an astonishing amount of ground in 45 minutes of talking that covers selected stuff from 577 months history. #
- Really, playground. Oddly, hate the part about having to find clothes and make sure they are dressed, those who aren’t. #
- Looked @FlatIronCafe wistfully as I passed by on way to wrong playground. And so we’re in Halifax now. #
- Unexpectedly cold with the wind. Light jackets with us would have been reasonable. Next time. #
- Just have kids 10 mins as it is late and I am feezing. #
- Basically blew all $ I can spend until about 3 weeks from tomorrow, but got a pu pu platter. Combining other stuff was more, included rice. #
- Just slightly more than it costs to go to Wendy’s, too. Had it with leftover broccoli. All that was left of last night’s very popular meal. #
- Made cubed chicken breast seasoned and in gravy, dairy-free mashed potatoes, peas, broccoli. Yum! #
- Apparently the chicken was even better cold. Deb tried to eat it for lunch. The kids got most of it. #
- Anyway, for the record, all love pork fried rice. Sadie loves boneless ribs. Henry loves the meat from chicken wings. Val’s more all-round. #
- @FlatIronCafe I like to try the ribs at any place I go that serves them. Almost like my standard test of breakfast: ham & cheese omelets. #

- Head killing me. Take the teeth. Take the cold/whatever I’ve had. Add what the barometer is doing to make wind & huge temp drop. Ouch! #
- After hours of tossing, turning, poor sleep, headache, got up. Found a big hour and a half had passed. #
- Can always sense Mike is here with Deb, even with know advance knowledge or physical indication. Like other presence disturbs the Force. #
- Well, then I’ll realize it’s logical, like first of her days off being better than normal, and having been too many days to go longer. #
- @Shurakai There’s good reason the people locally at FredCo don’t enforce every tiniest corporate policy fully every time. They need people. #
- I hate automatic updates of anything. #
- Didn’t make plans for my “day off’ per se. Make some calls, insist on time to do some productive things, I guess. #
- A shame I’m now risking being late, having woken on my own at 2:00 or so. #
- Early day. Debating going to store on way as breadngot moldy sped our usage yesterday. Without plans may not leave house later. #
- Popping into stop & shop for a couple things even if I stay in all day. Though should go but work gloves… #
- Groovin by the rascals has a line that always sounds like “you and me and Leslie” to me. A threesome? #
- Pillsbury and Duncan hines make canned frostings that have no milk, incl choc fudge and classic chocolate. FYI to stepmother who asked. #
- Looks like all Betty crocker frostings have milk, by comparison. #
- Odd. Sadie is up but rest seem to be asleep still, sans visitor emitted nocturnally. #

- One of which *should* have resulted in an appointment today. Oops. #
- One of my calls I needed to make called me first. Appointment at 11 AM tomorrow. Should be interesting. Need to call neurosurgeon, too. #
- @phillymac Perhaps they disagreed? :> #
- @phillymac Haven’t been watching, but Kris seems to be generating increased excitement. #
- Pretty bad when utilities on UBCD or such have trouble checking the drive on the computer to analyze/fix. #

- Hello deja vu my old friend… Got up to 69% on chkdsk /r then jumped back to 50% and past experience says it’ll hang there. #
- If it doesn’t budge from 50% in short order I’ll assume it’s the same deal and put it away, as it’s in way of making dinner. #

- Could do without the phase where they learn to fight viciously, including pulling hair out. #
- Bedtime comes way too soon. And right at prime time for unable to breathe in house due to neighborly firepit nutjobs. #
- Hadn’t put the burning past couple days together with the sore throat until a little while ago. Tonight it’s worse. #
- Forgot to take pail killers & Val was snoring/breathing loud enough to keep me awake. #
- I’ll try again in a bit. Told Deb was jealous she works through firepit primetime, way she used to say she was jealous I got to go to work. #
- Fancier wording for my sound bite description of tweets: De-contextualization. Good post on biz/legalities: http://bit.ly/3cANv (for @CotC) #
- Wanted to get early start out to bank, store and playground. Not sure how early I’ll actually manage. #
- Been meaning to blog about how good my back has been. Now it’s acting up again, upper and of all things my neck. Different from before. #
- Sent Deb back to bed, figure she should take chance for extra sleep. Taking all the kids, was planning on leaving her alone anyway. #
- Looking at friends of a friend on FB, found she was connected to one of our MS colleagues, from there seeing bunch of familiar names. #
- Grabbed the phone when my mother called. Pretty sure she knows, and was waiting for me to say something about the D word. #
- Heh. The D word: Not just a data type anymore. #
- My grandmother is doing better. Still not certain she’ll end up home, but more likely. Will require a ramp, if so. #
- My cousin is going to Scotland, no idea why. My mother told her look up the Johnston clan stuff. That’s us, via my grandfather’s mother. #
- Speaking of family business, looks like Irving stations are sprouting up like crazy in this part of MA where there’d been none before. #
- Anyway, back on course now… #

- Salt and pepper shakers are just so cool if you are 3 or 4. #
- Now have kids at playground in Halifax, to sadie’s dismay even though she wanted this one. #
- Kids had first stuff ever from ice cream truck, which had tons of stuff safe for Henry. Shame he dislikes the temperature. #
- Amuses me to be helping with VB program prob from playground. #
- @Shurakai Was going to say never had to fire people but I was hatchet man any time we showed a partner the door. #
- Kids do a good job ensuring they get taken out places as I can. It’s a pleasure having people praise their behavior even above cuteness. #

- @sharone75 Yep it’s that weather. Sadie had idea to add bread & butter to the mix, which was awesome. #
- Looks like Twitter is being less liberal in applying automatic TinyURL to links. #
- @michellefino http://mashable.com/2009/04/26/natalie-portman/ struck me as possibly interesting to you, via @kirsteno. #
- Cooled off nicely. About time to get the rats to bed. This is some serious schedule slippage! #
- #cotc Carnival of the Capitalists for 4/27/09: http://bizosphere.com/?p=169 #
- Time to get back to sleep! #
- @sharone75 What? #
- @robmay They’re a great publication, known for their accuracy! #
- @isfullofcrap Infinitely so. #
- Before the youngest 2 woke me, I was having a dream in which I was about to be hired by Microsoft & being lauded by former colleagues. #
- Funny, once turned down opportunity to interview at Microsoft as I didn’t want to move to WA, & was lucky they wanted me there not NC or TX. #
- Think I’m going to have to burn new system rescue CDs. Kids can reach almost anywhere & won’t leave anything in my office alone, can’t find. #
- I keep catching them with stuff they shouldn’t ever have and that I’d have thought were out of reach or too buried to get. #
- Sadie is all excited because I finally used the Mickey Mouse ice cube trays. Ran the traditional ones through dishwasher. #
- Updated my current position on LinkedIn to Recovering Business Owner and wrote a new description I genuinely like. #
- Setup my niece’s husband’s biz on Twitter, offered to tweet for them or turn it over. Better to ask forgiveness than permission. #
- So welcome @hardscapesun to Twitter. #
- Need to get kids clean and dressed, take us all to bank, then whatever. Maybe playground again with it nicer than expected. #
- It’d be useful if they slept well and were crashing early tonight. #
- @MikeG1 Only if it was from Paul Harvey. #
- I’m not sure I can actually get us to the bank. Maybe in the morning. But I shuld still take them to playground. #
- Sprouted an annoying sore throat yesterday afternoon. Wish it would go away. Along with overwhelming desire to sleep. #
- Finally installing my Blackberry software on not my preferred machine because hello obsolete. It must be slowest installation ever. #
- The machine that has Outlook & all my appointment stuff, and my full OE address book, won’t be able to synchronize with the Blackberry. #
- But my main concern is downloading the pictures. Which, wait, mainly get stored and processed on the OLD machine too. Oops. #
- Ooh, a restart. Exciting. #
- I had 132 pictures on the Blackberry, almost filling it. Glad I took care of that. A few are even decent. #
- Henry is smitten with music coming from the phone. With ear buds the sound is even good. Just can’t hold much. #
- Poor Henry. First he fell asleep & Sadie took it upon herself to wake him so he had to sleep on me. Then he woke again after a couple hours. #
- Tragic. Topped off by being tackled and sat on by Val as he wandered to the kitchen. #
- Feel a bit better after snoozing part of the time I held napping boy. That’s to the good. #
- Supper was going to be pasta with red sauce. Getting late, though, and lunch was a big meal. Hmmm… #
- We do that sometimes, so Deb gets a hearty meal with us before she has to flee to work. Made her some garlic rosemary fries. #

- Flashback! Just got to do a wee bit of support for VB6. In one of my specialties to boot: PDW/app distribution issues. #
- Way past bedtime. Folded part of the clean laundry and chipped away at dishes so I’d feel like I’d done something. Though happy kids = good. #
- Helps to remember to turn the alarm off on the day you don’t have to be to work at 3:45 AM. #
- Henry was on bed with me and is now completely in way, so not sure it’s worth trying to go back there for more sleep. #
- Facebook is unexpectedly addictive. #
- Don’t want to wake kids by rearranging them so I can return to bed there, but she caught me in office really wants me to deflect kids. #
- Since I can’t get in bed can’t sleep in office trying to digitlee what to do seems too weird using couch or recliner but cool there. #
- Though kids tend to get up and go in with her even if I am in bed with them so not sure it matters. #
- Love the tweeta thatll appear in reverse because network dropped while first tried and failed to send as I typed second. #
- Been not going numb much lately, managed it trying to get comfortable on couch. Wide awake anyway so back at computer. #
- Door open and lights on so if kids wake and wander maybe they will come to me so she can sleep. I also got 3.5 hours the night before. #
- Except that was a work night. Doesn’t matter, because if I get no sleep between now and 7 AM, that’s it until 9 PM give or take. #
- I need to move. Which means I need to get a real job. #
- One good thing: Apparently if I spend a couple hours at playground with kids in daily free time they’ll sleep like the dead every night. #
- Henry woke conveniently & needed me to lay down with him so I got a couple more hours sleep. #
- @CotC http://www.coyoteblog.com/coyote_blog/2009/04/the-box.html #
- Hadn’t been to Cook’s Thesaurus in a while, Still useful. http://www.foodsubs.com/ #
- @CotC http://www.vipvirtualsolutions.com.au/2009/04/what-does-your-brand-say-about-you.html #
- Need to clear a path to office windows, swap screens into place, be able to open them. Can probably just open from bottom now. #
- Kids mostly seem to handle open windows in living room, apart from making/widening holes in screens, and office is more controlled. #
- @CotC http://smallbiztrends.com/2009/04/brain-map-executive-time.html #
- @JonHenke We avoided currently super popular names, thus Sadie & Valerie. FWIW http://www.babynamewizard.com/voyager is cool if hadn’t seen. #
- @JonHenke Was going to promote Brenda (cool but way not popular), but you could use Marsha Evelyn and she’d be MEH. Indeed, Haley E for HEH. #
- @MikeG1 You sound overwhelmingly enthused. #
- Did my first post at Jay Solo’s Verbosity since 2006. #
- @pixxiespaz Heh. Looked like Sadie was just starting to burn yesterday. She’ll be the one with biggest problem, I suspect. #
- Want to map a domain to old blog, port to WP, if I can’t use solojay.com for ads bc it’s in her name on ad agent, then what domain to use… #
- I’d use realitybucket.com but using it elsewhere. Others already have are tangentmart.com, divinehamster.com, harshlymellow.com, else… #
- I’d have to use something geeky sounding or an old business domain or forget it, use a subdomain. #
- Realized I could also move CotC/Bizosphere to thecotc.com if I ever really had to, with domain in her control for ad purposes. #
- She survived the first pass at future daughter in law tryouts (got laugh when I described it as such wishing her luck yesterday). #
- Actually got complemented backhandedly. All his crazy mother said to her was she didn’t look old enough to have 3 kids. #
- Frustrating thing with Henry is he reacted mildly to something at BK, where there was nothing he was allergic to period end of story. #
- Worse, he doesn’t react to McDonald’s fries, which I’d forgotten contained milk. #
- All I can figure is it’s the apple juice. He has seemed to react similarly to apple juice before. Makes no sense. #
- Almost 90? Amazed it didn’t feel far hotter today than it has. #
- This room is so bad it’s hard to know where to start, worse being tempted to do kitchen, knowing supper is approaching fast. #
- Supper will be salad, fruit, snack food, maybe burgers or dogs if they really insist. Hot weather food. #
- Forgot I’d removed privacy from a couple domains as I couldn’t afford renewals otherwise. Meant to migrate registrar first chance afterward. #
- Wish it were possible to open windows without getting asphyxiated by all the smoke pit aficionados who forget they lack rural acreage. #
- I love Hosting Matters. #
- @pixxiespaz I’ve seen it done, but the skin is rindier or whatever you call it, so it’s harder to peel. #
- Waiting on feedback from Deb, but should be able to have Welcome to Help moved from add-on to root of hosting intact. #
- Even though it wasn’t vital, since I want to rebuild it anyway. The whole service biz didn’t fly, but have other ideas for domain. #
- Might have flown with space, resources, greater interest, and ability to devote myself to it, but a job was what I needed to get instead. #
- I love Deb. Even if she does drive me about as crazy as I drive her and it’s not as possible to fix as I’d like. #
- She just gave me a particularly inspiring complement. #
- Kids aren’t entirely convinced about salad, but seem to like blueberry applesauce. #

- @Shurakai Not my intent, but that’s going to be the end result. #
- Been with Dr for 7 years.1st time he has called me, personally, except when I was supposed to look at his wife’s computer & she was AWOL. #
- He wanted me to take Val to urgent care clinic there in AM say he sent us. Wants to be sure she doesn’t have urinary infection. #
- @danabrit Got mint filled Oreos for allergy boy today. So good! Taste a lot like the Girl Scout mint cookies. #
- Forgot about my baby picture messing things up for some people. I’ll have to change it again Real Soon Now. #
- Famous brand roasting chicken was on sale. Never had a store brand come out so bad before. Edible, but what breast was there was rubbery. #
- Corn on the cob was exceptional. First I’ve bought this year, as good as it looked in the store. Kids loved it. #
- Don’t think I will ever get used to Mike being here with her at night, no matter how hard she’s pushed me away to be sure it’s permanent. #
- Also, if she drives them, kind of hard for me to do a look out the window to see if his Jeep is here. Which I do even knowing for sure. #
- It was the plan, with Friday the new and only real date night with their schedules. #
- Tooth/head pain didn’t dissipate entirely with sleep today. Got tense from bladder last hour before woke. Tension/stress provokes it. #
- Shoot, better have some coffee! Got up early enough for it. Now almost too late. #
- @shartlen I’d noticed a bunch of other drops and blamed it entirely on my bouts of angst spewage, not remembering that pic was a problem. #
- I keep thinking about changing my current status/title in LinkedIn to Recovering Business Owner. #
- Oh well. Only one coffee it is. Gotta fly out the door. #
- An actual long shift. It was brutal. Sure my days are numbered bc blood pressure pills kicked in strong. #
- Otoh I was cornered Into telling pt manager about divorce after she declared how much my wife must love me. #
- Which engenders sympathy and helps also explain some of my slipping, prob more than I’d cedited before. #
- Time to go see if he managed a whole night there or went home for better sleep. Rush to get me and kids to doctor yay. #
- Ran late this morning. Twitter got consulted for my status. Oops. #
- Getting ready to take Val to doctor and kids out for the nice day. Hope doctor’s office isn’t too busy. #
- Looks like urgent care soointment should roll along fast now that we are here. #
- Burger King has the good toys: spongebob #
- Very successful BK visit. Now walmart says my prescriptions are ready early so there then a playground. #
- Shortest Wal-Mart run ever, then massive time at west side playground. Only ones there at first. 12 Other kids when we left! #
- Sadie is more social than she seems, especially in the face of gregarious others. We only left because Val got thirsty and begged. #
- Henry mastered climbing up & down steps of big slide, I avoided heart failure. In end he even slid! Backward. Over and over with glee. #
- Sadie learned tricks from her new friend (whose name she actually heard & remembered, even if I couldn’t tell if Sadie said May or Mary). #
- Val managed to fall off a platform at least 4 feet to ground, trying to do something hard, shrugged and walked away. #

- Was just able promptly to supply former client with old user and password info for computer I installed in satellite office in March 2005. #
- Office was kind of a vanity project of one particular attorney, seldom used. They finally closed it. Suspect PC is now at manager’s house. #
- Couldn’t sleep. Headache/toothache so bad I can totally understand my great-grandfather. #
- Not that I’d been herting to bank Fridays anyway, but payday dynamic changes with her on earlier shift that day. #
- Deb is showing off her brilliance about how thiongs should be done effectively there, doing a few early Fridays to prove point. Very cool. #
- @Shurakai Doh!! Silly Blackberry. #
- I have a friend who used to talk me into this or that, and eventually I learned that if he encouraged me to do something, I should run away. #
- Interrupted. She was in fighting mood. I am never in fighting mood. Fighting leads to soundbite understanding, which doesn’t work. #
- What Vitamin Are You? - http://tinyurl.com/ctdcde - You Are Vitamin A #blogthings #
- What I was leading to was I have come to view her the same way, so if she wants it I should do the opposite. Trouble is, she changes mind. #
- Even in the one long conversation/argument this AM she went from pushing hard for me to take the potentially cool possibly bad/trap work to #
- assuring me it’s as well if I don’t, do whatever I want. Between us we know 3 other candidates, including her, so probably can fill it. #
- She feels trapped at her job & based on what has transpired, but she’s amazing and gives herself waaaay too little credit as to options. #
- She seems not to have any idea how much I admire her talent, intelligence and efforts, both at the job & in the fiber arts design I geek on. #
- And as I was telling her, RE tomorrow she meets boyfriend’s crazy mother for 1st time at b’day party, she’s charming yet firm, will be fine. #
- @samablog That’s one way I was looking at it. Trouble is the lowly helpdesk project probably has 100 applicants, may be filled already. #
- Oh goodness, look at my wrist. Where did the time go? Oh wait, there was the big chunk spent involuntarily discussing things. #
- High finance. #
- Interesting that most new followers don’t generate e-mail saying so and so has now followed me. #
- Enough high finance. Gotta feed the kids lunch, do other work. #
- @samablog I applied! Then I took the excuse of T-Mobile goofing yesterday to e-mail again today “in case they’d called” when line was dead. #
- Well that went badly. #
- @EternalWanderer Had I seen this timely and been better equipped to pack kids and go, they’d have loved to run and get you. #
- @EternalWanderer Or you could have called or texted me from your cell I thought you owned but I was wrong. #
- Right! Besides time to put chicken in oven & open windows to vent heat, was supposed to work on computer & do invoice for tiny web work. #
- Too late for latter now, as manager leaves early. #
- Caught Sadie using whiteboard markers she shouldn’t have been able to get at to draw on paper. Introduced them to whiteboard. Magic! #
- It would have been a brilliant idea for occupying them, had I thought of it pointedly. #
- I dread finding another place to live. Price of rooms says it may as well be a full apartment. Gonna have to luck out. #
- I mean, after I have a job for real, otherwise it’s just going to be crashing with someone or some car/tent arrangement. #
- @EternalWanderer A phone added to a family plan is $10/mo pretty universally, no? I could have kept spare line & given it to you for that. #
- @Shurakai But… but… isn’t Geocities2009® easier? #
- @Shurakai That’s right! You got promoted, so you can do stuff like that, more or less. #
- @shartlen I agree on old houses, & see e-mail for reply to DM. #
- Annoying when tooth starts to kick up, and it’s combined/caused with stress & tiredness. #
- Feeling a bit bad if I don’t get more cleaning done, as he’s likely to be over tonight, however late. #

Twitter Updates for 2009-04-23
- Just realized a danger of Twitter is the potential for tweets to be proverbial “sound bites” lacking full context or explication. #
- Which came from thinking I’d done lately about how hard it is to explain how I got her in sound bites, including ones exchanged with her. #
- Here, not her. How I got *here* to this point in life and marriage and stuff. #
- WTF, over? http://www1.whdh.com/weather/ (Boston weather graphic Thur thru Wed temps go 55, 70, 85, 87, 88, 87, 84!!) #
- The herd of wild children are ready for bed. I was too, at about 9 this morning. Aw, I guess I am again. Um, still. 2 AM comes way to soon. #
- Kids not coping well with bedtime. #
- Sad to get sleeping comfortably just in time to have to rush to work. #
- Created Ultimate Boot CD and System Rescue CD to attempt to use on hosed laptop. Booting my Vista box from the latter as we tweet. #
- I have a conundrum. #
- Work is trying to throw itself at me, but the wrong work, the wrong rates, and not enough to truly overcome child care challenges. #
- She says she really wants me to contribute more than my current $1200 a month to the rent and utilities and sundries. #
- And that child care is no object because *someone* could take the kids for the relevant 11 - 18 hours a week. #
- And that never sleeping or seeing boyfriend & being burdened with them so much of the time would be acceptable even though it’s not. #
- Option 1: $16.50/hr for 1-2 mos helpdesk, in my actual field, presumed normal work hours. That’s send resume, maybe we’ll call solicitation. #
- I was already unsure of that, due to temp nature, and assuming $180/wk babysitting out of $660 gross. #
- Option 2: $12/hr “1099″ at building materials store, including some cold calling (almost a showstopper out of the box), web updates, etc. #
- Total 47 hrs a week, some flexibility if time needed off, etc. Informal bonuses for increased business/big orders brought in. #
- As perm as I want it to be, entirely out of my field, if not entirely out of stuff I have a history of. #
- Since it’s kind of for family, I’d feel worse about leaving after too little time, for better/more appropriate or for not liking it. #
- If I factor extra taxes, lost subsidies, and minimum expected child care costs, the $12/hr thing would net maybe $214 less base taxes. #
- By “extra taxes” I mean the difference between self-employment tax and employee portion of social security if a paycheck. #
- Anyway, that means net result - not counting added gas and such - would be $50 or so for an extra 31 hours a week of work. #
- I could generate an extra $50/wk some other way, if I needed. I managed to generate $500/mo extra during the winter months to cover heat. #
- Time to celebrate the offer by spending the day submitting resumes everywhere. #
- Qwitter is an interesting idea, but not useful if it batches everything as if it happened after one tweet rather than over time. #
- My Twitter personality: popular inquisitive cautious My style: garrulous coherent POET http://twanalyst.com/jaysolo #
- As of the point when my cell switched from family to solo plan T-Mobile seems to have goofed and canceled it instead. Good job. #
- We may as well not have paid it all up a week or so ago. #
- T-Mobile customer service rocks. And yeah, that’s exactly what happened; crossed wires on the changeover. #
- Hope the people I sent a resume to earlier didn’t try to call me. That’s the number that was provided. Oops. #
- @Shurakai Felt better once I learned Kerri Green was 18 when they filmed it. She was the oldest of the kids. #

- @chucksimmins No bruising. No pain. Feels like swollen lymph or huge blind pimple or such. Is pinhole bleeding though. Not too worried. #
- Just finished supper, got kids in bath, started dishwasher. Need to wash some by hand, clean up, take shower, get to bed 14 minutes ago. #
- Why on earth would predictive text make aomething out of something? I don’t watch it closely when what I type has to be obvious to it. #
- OK, time for bed, headache or not, ready or not. #
- May not be able to die of tooth pain, but sure could wish it. #
- Forgot not only does Mike’s new schedule mean getting here at 1:30 AM if there’s a conjugal, but also he’ll arrive just before I am due up. #
- Managed to be up just before 1st alarm, then stepped on Henry’s head because he’d ended up on floor at foot of my bed. Poor kid. #
- Val running around house screaming for mom may have helped me wake up early. Not much of a conjugal if 20 mins after arrival kids barge in. #
- Oh well. Coffee ought to be done. I should write post, and burn CDs. Shame to have to get dressed in my own house to walk around at 2-odd AM #
- @Shurakai Tooth pain is regular thing, but not able to mention because she has it at least as bad. I have 1 just needs pulling , she has 3. #
- Working on plans to meet up with lawyer friend/former client sometime today, sounds like late morning. #
- This is why I like to get up at 2:00 to leave at 3:30. It’s been barely enough time to have coffee, answer e-mail, do a couple minor things. #
- Efficiently run shift. I did a ton of incompatibles and not so much unloading. #
- Now to go home and are if Mike will be there into the day or already left. And shower, charge phone, flee myself. #
- Makes sense he’d want to go home and get sleep, which is impossible here once kids, as many as all 3, start climbing in her bed with them. #
- My meeting with lawyer friend is completely indeterminate until he texts me from the courthouse as to how things are looking. #
- So I’ll just hang around Stoughton as needed in the meantime. Once I finish this coffee I’ll shower and be ready to head out whenever. #
- RT @stevewhitaker In honor of Earth Day, I’ll take the baby seals out of my SUV’s trunk and give them some corn-based ethanol. #
- Another kid up, hugged, in search of a drink, preferably coffee-based. How did we manage that? I’m told it’s my fault. It usually is. #
- You know its bad when ramp stops #
- Good chat with lawyer friend. He too never wants to be in a partnership again. #
- Always freaks me out when little or no email or tweeta show up on blackberry. #
- As glady mother isn’t home, I think. Wish teeth didn’t hurt so bad. Need to decide what to do next. Hard to stay away from home. #
- Need sleep badly. That is making me stress clench and provoking tooth and head pain. #
- Not likimg pain that makes me feel like I may pass out from it in middle of store. #
- Mark the calendar! Only $22 in groceries this trip. #
- Really don’t want to go home. Except I do, to relax and do some needed things. Just that will not be end result. #
- What we’d like is a dentist in the area who would simply pull a tooth that’s dead, period, for a reasonable price. No fuss. No argument. #

Twitter Updates for 2009-04-19
- This has been a crazy sick out of sorts sleep deprived aimless distracted day. Usually Saturday feels high energy, then I collapse. #
- Should have guessed this would be a night of having Mike over. Especially since I didn’t clean or do dishes and am mortified. #
- Because you should always be mortified at what the wife’s boyfriend might think #
- I am so pissed I didn’t think of that, no matter how awful I felt. If he’s around in the morning I’m not going to want to lift a finger. #
- Figured once I’d had a full sleep I’d attack the place. Because that totally gets me a good job, and hasn’t that been the plan the 5 years? #
- I mean, keeping me barefoot and washing dishes so she could screw me over. #
- We can say it wasn’t a factor all we want, but his presence really did clinch her deciding to dump me after she caused official reasoning. #
- I do believe I have lost access to my original Blogger account. Can’t figure out how to get in to import to WordPress. #
- Not important, but sad. Main thing was pMachine to WordPress. For which I really need a very old version of WP to start, 1.2 or 1.3 IIRC. #
- Just realized I am making a breakthrough. Been obsessed with whether she’s happy. Starting not to care if she’s happy or not. I need to be. #
- Cool! There is an archive of WordPress releases: http://tinyurl.com/256bbh #
- Amused by #herebeforeoprah which hell yeah, I was. #
- That was a very rough night of sleep. Val barged into closed office before I could get back to bed, then whole gang got up, Mike left 5:30. #
- Feel sort of better today, but still muzzy. We’ll see how it goes. Coffee will be done Real Soon Now and changes everything. #
- Seems to be very effective when kids get in way to “go on strike” or “timeout” myself, at least when I’m in the middle of serving them. #
- They like to get between me and counter/sink/stove. Get upset if I go sit instead of making food or getting drinks. Behave better. #
- Doesn’t work as well for, say, obstructing doing dishes, which is how I ended up back here. #
- Also didn’t work on the last adult I tried it with on a large, multi-year scale, despite obviousness I’d stopped “making lunch” in protest. #
- Helps to know when to end the protest and move on because it’s not working, rather than being swept away by inertia. Back to dishes. #
- @MikeG1 I’m totally with you. Like stuff conveniently located, but would prefer to be somewhere country. Barring that, large property. #
- I’ve never gotten used to having neighbors after growing up with none. People 2 houses over may as well be in room with me. Apartments? Ha! #
- Oatmeal for kids should be done now. Served strategically, it’s considered a huge treat. #
- Preparing to take kids nowhere particular today. Need gas in Buick, stuff at store, stop at landlord’s. Maybe hit playground or family. #
- Aw foo, forgot CotC. Really don’t want to tweet like 20 entries in a row this evening last minute. #
- Kids have calmed down while I did some CotC tweets. NOW maybe I can get us ready and go somewhere for the afternoon. #
- Brought kids to playground in Halifax. #
- Trying to get FB client on blackberry its groundhog setup. #
- Leaving Halifax playground. Val sad. Seeking food next. #
- Eating at McDonald’s in Plymouth. Good kids. Knock wood. #
- Funny even a bit embarrassing having random people fawn over how beautiful the 3 kids are. #
- Now to Plymouth walmart for a couple things. Then home. They want to check out Nelson st playground sometime, after going by it. #
- Home, but Sadie thought we were going to grandmas and other 2 are out cold. #
- Realized later the cool Wal-Mart cashier Henry rightly flirted with & who was comparing her 2 kids to mine reminded me of Donut Girl. #
- Aged by about the right amount, which is coming up on 6 years. #

- Doesn’t work to have her home at bedtime. #
- Glad I can rock work on zombie rest of day no sleep no caffeine. Still, 5 min late Nfg. #
- Bed late, kids wild, about when settled she took them, talked loudly kept me awake got sore moved to office floor #
- Once I was in office val screamed outside door several minutes. #
- @sMoRTy71 A day for appreciating happy husbands? What about unhappy ones? #
- Henry just took his nap in the morning instead of later. On me. During much of which I was also snoozing. Not feeling caught up, but better. #
- Yesterday when I was feeding kids remembered a dream snippet I’d had with that scene about 1991. Freaky when that happens. #
- Hey, I should remember to take my blood pressure pills today! What a concept. #
- Henry is having a massive reaction that can only be because sister gave him cheese, but seems much for that, and despite Benadryl. #
- May not have helped that he drooled back out almost 1/3 of the Benadryl dose, Did Not Want. #
- @pixxiespaz http://www.twitter.com/pixxiespaz #
- Running out of high places to put things. Nor should everything need to go there, as kids *should* be capable of learning. #
- Especially when I react with let’s call it a “concerned” tone. Over and over and over. #
- Meanwhile, poor Henry. He looks all pockmarked. It’s almost as if washing his face thoroughly made it worse. #
- Anyway, back to seeing if the chicken is still good & putting it in oven if expectedly so. Need to work on CotC before last minute, too. #
- Stop & Shop totally failed to supply me with a store brand roasting chicken that stayed unspoiled through its sale date. #
- Sadie is sad it won’t be supper. For “getting late to start it anyway” values. Oh well. #
- RT @paulhsieh Excellent Harry Potter trailer: http://tinyurl.com/cch55q (I really need to catch up on seeing those movies.) #

- Before that: Sadie in chair watching Superman on TV, reading a book, with a drink & a bowl of blueberries to snack on. #
- @Shurakai My BFF Jill? #
- Kids in tub. Had early supper. Main interest was in pears, of which they used three, #
- @Shurakai Commercials a couple years back for one of the phone cos, mom frustrated by everyone texting, they talked like that and one line #
- @Shurakai was “IDK, my BFF Jill?” Which your IDK tweet brought to mind. #
- @Shurakai Deb would have found it hilarious. Shared culture FTW. #
- @Shurakai Of course, now I can’t read “huh?” without hearing it in that Penny-like tone, which Deb suspected was inspired by Willow. #
- @juliejulie The world may never know. #

- Texas Roadhouse was awesome. Line dancing waitresses were amusing. Well, they weren’t that. The concept was. #
- Sad that they could all have been my daughters had I bot been relationally retarded enough to keep me untimely and almost not at all. #
- 1.5 hours late for bed. Better get moving now that I’ve checked the computer a bit. Kids await. #
- @neeqie Doh! Hate it when that happens. #
- Was actually hoping she didn’t make it home so I could call in. Got to sleep 10. Henry woke screaming 1-odd. Would only sleep more upright. #
- So what more sleep I got has been sitting up in desk chair with pillow to make it bearable & blanket on him. She finally got here 3. #
- Waiting for coffee to brew so I can have a single cup before I leave. Gotta stop tweeting in moment to get ready. Gotta nap today period. #
- Couldn’t bring myself to mention D word to my mother. Suspect she’s heard rumblings. After being awake 17 hrs didn’t feel awake enough to. #

Changes
As you know if you actually read this place, which few do, it’s been mainly a repository for digests of my @jaysolo Twitter activity each day. All well and good, but not the most compelling reading, and not what I had in mind even before Deb decided to finalize the process of dumping me.
While I still won’t feel that I can say anything here - even the preceding sentence is phrased in a way that might raise ire were she to swing by, and I hate to offend her because then she might dump m… oh wait! - I am willing to say more and make it where more of my writing goes, from the back to being me and not an appendage and silly to be on a marital blog when it’s been slain perspective.
Further, I have my ancient blogs that this in some ways continues, and those have content in old blogging software that might be safer replicated here. Which also makes this site richer in content and more appeaking for ad sales. Since it attracted none yet, I removed it entirely from the account I manage that markets primarily my sites but that is in Deb’s name at the agent we use. I’ll add it to an account that’s entirely my own. Sites that have existing ads will require her approval to migrate with continuity. It may be desirable to leave them as they are toward household/child support/daycare expenses, but I am set up to have such a migration happen if as and when. Preferably smoothly, but I’m ultimately in control of whether ads remain there.
As I was saying, I may start migrating/copying all or best of posts from the original blogs to here, either date-adjusted to be as of same time they originally appeared, or current, depending. Add some depth, content, search mojo. erc.
I may also move this domain to different hosting. Which relates to the above. The blog is highly personal, but I put it on hosting that was primarily for business - hers and mine - and for the business oriented blog. We’ve backed off from that, but in dividing things up, we’d kind of designated this hosting as “hers,” with the other two being “mine” though one of the accounts has content that’s “ours” that I’d be keeping live. Trouble is, she’s changed plans, making control of this hosting moot, and most of what is on it is mine. Not a big deal for her existing and prominent site to remain indefinitely. Anyway, as something more personal, and as the direct successor to what is there, I thought I might migrate this to my original hosting. If I can migrate the original blog content enough, I may ultimately be able to move more there by freeing up resources.
If and when I do that, you might see glitches. That’s not immediate though.
I probably was going to cover other things. Mainly, though, it’s about the blog status here.
In the upcoming week I will be making appointments I have put off making for no good reason, finish up some new and old paying work, and pump my newly updated resume out into the world at a furious pace (maybe look for “lesser” work locally too, to replace and/or supplement FredCo, which can’t last and wasn’t meant to, though cool to know I’ll have made 6 months at a grueling job where they mostly appreciate me). Those are the big big things on the agenda, but work on the blogs is cathartic and has side revenue prospects.

- @sharone75 Well, just came out of latest family meeting with the place. She plateaued, no more progress, thus grimmer outlook. #
- @Shurakai *Waves* at aforementioned cousin. #
- @EternalWanderer So it seems. Love aspects of new Blackberry. Feel relieved when I use old one as sub. #
- Was in weird position of potentially having to quit my job because her boyfriend got promoted, but word is he thinks status quo will be OK. #
- After 9:00? Shoot. Better get to bed. Man I’m tired of this. #
- Need to go back to getting up earlier. #
- Feel like if I can’t get my speed back I won’t have to worry about the intersection of other schedules and mine. Of course, FT is real goal. #
- Reviewing the Texas Roadhouse menu in advance. Gotta love the intertubes. #
- @Shurakai That’s the most likely thing I’d try my 1st time at a place that serves them. #
- @pixxiespaz Isn’t shopping at Rite-Aid sort of… traitorous now? #
- Dishes. Coffee. all I want to do is sleep. And poor back. And poor head. Sheesh. Dinner at 5 at Texas Roadhouse in Brockton. Drop kids at 4. #

- I am officially world’s nicest guy or biggest patsy. #
- Kids have been ready for bed for half hour or more while I’ve been not folding clothes not cleaning kitchen to help BF with Romney red tape. #
- A while back we (she) decided Thurs is her untouchable day to go out or such, while Wed is mine. We’ve applied that to Thursdays since. #
- Wednesdays she’s usually either made plans for me or used as not-mine anyway, aided by my tendency to have no firm plans. #
- She made plans for Thurs. Friend is here from out of state. Assured her Thur was absolutely hers period, just as Wed was mine. #
- He’s leaving Friday morning and Thursday would have been the best day for a group of us to go out somewhere to get together. Wed may work. #
- I refuse to go back on my commitment, even if I have to seek babysitting. Or even if fewer of us can meet and it’s Wednesday instead. #
- Problem with the Wednesday’s as mine thing is for me all I might really want is to be here but be left completely alone. Doesn’t work. #
- Feel like the pseudo-cold of past couple weeks is becoming real. Can hardly bear to go to work. #
- Weird not being able to tweet from car right after work. #
- Need to be minimal about the preliminaries before I start tax stuff. May be saved by being on MassHealth. Seems proving you are insured… #
- And figuring the penalty if you are not has basically double the number of pages it takes for the MA return. #
- Incredibly intrusive. Not that the rest isn’t. That’s argument for changing WHAT taxes there are even for those who crave tax revenues. #
- @robmay Besides, you shouldn’t let your wife totally decide everything and walk all over you. Oh wait… #
- @sharone75 What Wayne said! #
- @EternalWanderer Meh… one of them lost it years ago. And for all we know she’s contagious. #
- Was annoyed when I flew through half a trailer faster than lately, got winded, then boss came along & timed me for 2 slow minutes. #
- Going to push for doing something this late afternoon/evening, but start to work on babysitting issue in case Thurs instead. #
- There WILL be times when both of us have to be somewhere and it will be needed. May as well start adjusting any time now. #
- @sharone75 You haven’t slept a wink and your mind is on the blink? #
- I love PDF forms you can fill in and save. #
- For the record, the requirement to pick a 6 digit code for business type is absurd. #
- @Shurakai Yeah. Losing the schedule E did almost nothing to simplify mine. #
- Have 2 of the 3 schedules C done, anyway. #
- Looks like 541600 ought to do. #
- Wondering if I’ll be done in time, let alone be able to make it to anything social tonight. #
- With taxes, that is. Though I am to point of child credits on 1040. Just that state forms are worse. #
- Glad of PDF files. Can’t see what’s on the paper forms. Was going to revert to paper for credits but it’s all ant footprints. #
- Hmmm… being unable to read numbers from W-2 not optional. #
- Barring minor details that’s the federal forms. Yay! Forgot to put the names at top of a couple schedules, no big. Then the state… #
- MA tax prep is easier if you are sufficiently poor. I think I may be done already. #
- Done! Now post office. #
- Paper income tax forms are just so 1912. #
- Totally missed that tonight was out for the friend who is up from SC, so we are restricted to tomorrow, which is her day. Maybe babysitting. #
- No line at the post office. Yay. Now I can go back to cleaning the kitchen. #
- @pixxiespaz Yeah, well, complicated has its drawbacks. #
- My mother can babysit tomorrow. Bad news is Grandma will probably end up in nursing home after all. No more progress. Can’t stay on feet. #
- Sadly messy yet can’t look away, so are the wrecks of our lives. Worse when you steer right for the cliff with confident trepidation. #
- Henry woke from his way-too-late nap and is pissed. Maybe his mom is gone detector went off, as he was being mom-centric. #
- New Blackberry has failed to come back from charging without needing battery removed to reset it twice now. Not amused. #

- Accounting lesson done. And baby in bed because he crashed on my lap during this. Never napped today. Promising. #
- My first chat with someone on Facebook. #
- Now I remember why I avoid showering before work. Besides it’s a dirty job. #
- Starting to hate this schedule. Need a real one, full time, leave kids with caretaker parent. I mean, without taking them to work with me… #
- Cell service crippled because 20th is D-Day for the last of the 2 months we owe before it goes to the lower cost, me-only plan. #
- Since that won’t get paid, ever, no more reports from the parking lot after work. #
- Where I got razzed by boss for being so slow, even with today being a bit better. Not sure how much is blood pressure meds kicking in. #
- Versus how much is the couple weeks old peudo-cold, vs how much is unknown. The left shoulder/back problem returned, finally. #
- Odd how that kicks in and nauseates me when pain elsewhere is technically worse. Started before I went to work, maybe from sleeping funny. #
- Anyway, before people notice I am home, shower to be ready to head out and hit bank etc finally. #
- @phillymac Tubular? Haven’t heard that one lately! #
- Too late. #
- Wonder when I’ll get to go to the bank now. #
- Two kids take a lot of lap. #
- They’re all off me, but I should see if Sadie needs a drink or any of them need food. #
- Snuck in shower. Hordes demanded food after, with 2 of them having cereal after already having half a bagel. Deb still asleep. #
- @dirtymushroom Oop! Don’t you hate it when that happens? And the basement part too. #
- Kids just demanded a bath following cereal adventure. All 3! Cleaning while they soak. Maybe Deb *could* get sleep if she worked overnights. #
- Not sure I should attempt the bank etc without just taking the kids along, having no be back 2 hrs from now barrier looming. #
- OTOH the kids all but rule out the store part, which makes it super fast. #
- Worth it for how happy it made Sadie to suggest it. #
- @robmay At least it’s not the stomach plague and lasting for days. #
- @sharone75 I’ve made fun of it since the first time I “used” it for something. To the extent that word applies, given its lack of usability. #
- @pixxiespaz Discount version involves rocks, your freezer, and getting what you pay for. #
- Henry is dismantling the stove, starting with the oven rack. Not counting knob he previously removed and lost, thatr is. #
- That was fun. Keeps the shopping light, when all 3 kids *must* ride in the cart. Where they can more easily smoosh and/or open things. #
- With Blackberry disabled for outgoing as they await payment, used spare, old Blackberry with brother’s sim I have for a few months. #
- After a few texts, it started saying “data connection refused.” You’d think they knew what was happening and acted, but probably nothing. #
- Wal-Mart fudge sandwich cookies (safe for Allergy Boy!) are apparently the Best Thing Ever. #
- So not getting taxes done tonight. Unless I lock kids in a room with some food & entertainment, perhaps. #
- Sad thing is they are still complex enough that from where I stand now I need probably 5 solid hours to have them ready to mail. Maybe more. #
- At least I didn’t have the partnership returns this year. That was days of intense effort each year under rapid fire “are we there yet?” #
- Wonder whether there’s at least one instance where I can use a schedule C-EZ instead of a full C. #

- Uncharacteristically dragging feet on doing dishes and kitchen. Must be tired of being domestic help. #
- @robmay You nailed it! #
- Managed to go 5 hours of Deb at work without any texting, so she finally checked whether things were OK. Just had nothing to say for change. #
- Then followed a furious you’d wonder why we weren’t together forever flurry of texts and making her laugh, once she started it. #
- Made me laugh, too, going around pointedly telling people she was an atheist today. #
- I thought it was 1-odd AM, not 1-odd PM when I woke after restless sleep for what felt like hours and hours. #

- I’d skip the store but we’re out of large freezer bags and stuff will spoil unfrozen. #
- May call landlord, beg off another day, or take all kids with me to bank etc. Too late. Denizens holding me up. #
- Wow. Just almost fell asleep where I sit. What’s up with that? I mean, besides having taken blood pressure pills earlier. #
- New Blackberry went blank, required battery removal and wait for endless boot before it was usable again. That’s not good. #
- I know it seems flimsy enough I only give it a 6 month life expectancy, but it’s been all of a month of that so far. #
- @blogthings Usually about right. Sometimes seem too short for what they’re trying to determine. Seldom if ever too long. #
- Meant to give my father a pile of Canadian loonies & toonies the other day, since they are on the border & banks don’t think exchange crazy. #
- Without proper papers, luckily not yet needed between states, won’t be going to Canada again even if I can make it to Vermont sometime. #
- At least it’s not “your papers please” if an authority just feels like it driving down any road, or traveling internally. Oh wait… #
- Served burgers w/lettuce & tomato, fries, making lunch today’s big meal. But off errands to morning. Taxes this afternoon. #
- Put off. Not but off. Put off. Sheesh. #
- I should turn off all the updates to phone before it gets disabled in next day or two. Pretty sure it’s just going to default on 20th anyway #

- Sometimes I wonder if there’s something seriously wrong with Valerie #
- Made mistake of asking about tax stuff to get her on the same page while she’s at work. Maybe I should just file separately. #

- Now *really* need to feed the squirts. Lunch wasn’t *that* big. #
- Seems a bit absurd, even with our always theoretically open relationship before she rudely bailed, for me to go out of my way helping. #
