Twitter Updates for 2008-12-31
- That scream you heard was me, when I sneezed and my back objected. Hope the back settles by time for work in AM. #
- While pounding a tank of hot water on the area of back:shoulder blade to relax it I realized the cause… #
- Bad roller in 1st trailer so I had to put down box or 2 push box push etc and felt it there & arm but not like this. #
- Until came home, nsaids wore off, slept on hard surfuce, got in wrong positions. Then pain from hell. #
- Made it theu 3 hrs or so unloading, a bit of a low key day but still prob 1400 packages for me. #
- Now do me and my wtf you doing to me back go to walmart or lay down for more relief… #
- Sadie doesn’t understand can’t climb on me because my back hurts and is very sad. #
- Bejus. Kids. #
- @sharone75 Yep, that is where I picked up the expression. #
- @sharone75 I don’t normally make resolutions, though I think this year I need more resolve. I can haz a sertivniss? #
- It’s just wrong for burping to hurt your back. *burp* Ow! And that is with it seeming somewhat better for now. Can’t wait to shovel… #
- If there is a spot to shovel, since the guy downstairs moved into our spot after Deb left. Hope it means his buddy is going to plow. #
- @earwood I’ve always thought the objective concept was questionable, but wasn’t sure if that was just me. Hello the cover letter. #
- Never imagined I’d need the skill of putting little girl hair in a ponytail, or that I’d be decent at it. #
- @chucksimmins Hey, sometimes being the available parent has unexpected implications. #
- @shartlen Used to know a guy who worked there when I lived in W. MA & he hated when I’d sing their jingle but as “unfair tire.” #
- @Shurakai were discussing yest dvd drive for her pc as ex post facto xmas for Deb & wondering price forgot to look. #
- @Shurakai No SATA on that machine, but prices about to slightly above where I’d figured. #
- Steeling self to go shovel. It may kill me, based on what movements make back scream. Neighbor stole spot, too, soon as Deb left today. #
- We either have to parallel park in what’d be minimal space dry, or be pushed to bottom of driveway where we have to shovel whole length. #
- Starting to imagine choice parting spiel for them when we inevitably move out of the ridiculous place. #
- Lived thru shoveling by doing it one handed. Prob couldn’t have until job gave me forearms Popeye would approve. #

Happy Birthday
To my cousin Billy, who is 49 today.
Twitter Updates for 2008-12-30
- 1st is indeed a day off. 3:30 start again tomorroww. 2.5 hrs or so today is prob what’ll be norm. #
- Glad snow isn’t amounting to much. Yet. So driving was ok. #
- Decided not to lay down for more sleep right away and woke Val with typing. Argh. #
- Shooting for a couple three hrs snooze then errands. When you have 4 hrs to sleep insmnia the 1st 2 is bad. #
- Not surue broken and battered bits of added “sleep” are worth it. And apparently hard body needs softer bed. #
- Some of worst back/side/rib/muscle pain ever. Hope shower adds to pain meds, movement & coffee in helping it settle. #
- It should not hurt to burp! #
- Nor should pistachios cause same. #
- Speaking of which, I am tied for my low low this morning. Hoping it’ll drop 1-2 more so I have lower weight to go with pants falling off. #
- @phillymac Hey, I didn’t think you could cook! #
- @shartlen Me too! I was shocked the old Buick passed yesterday. But even with the 2001 pickup I was expecting the FAIL. #
- Thinking I need to do, among a zillion other things, end of year backups of everything that could possibly need it. Exercise the DVD burner. #
- @shartlen Yikes! I was expecting tires to fail for low tread (not bald, just thinning), wanted to know if anything else was needed. #
- Quick soaking pinto beans toward supper, be it refried for burritos or in a small chili (not a much beef on hand as I’d like). #
- @shartlen Ouch! My mother has one the right size w/tread, & my bro was looking for another, so it’d have been cheap but nuisance. #
- Shouldn’t Jellystone wait until 2012 to explode and take out half the country and plus ruin the atmosphere and stuff? Sheesh. #
- I guess we’ll find out it’s over when it’s over. #
- Apparently the OTC pain relievers really worked, and really wore off after a length of time. #

Twitter Updates for 2008-12-29
- Coinage: I’ve often thought my ideal lifestyle would be somewhat Gunderlesque. #
- Kid baths & shower for me, maybe a few more dishes, mostly back to the reference letter. Needs another paragraph & to be on letterhead. #
- I have passable “letterhead” I’ve used as “Welcome to Help” invoicing the once and current client, so will adapt that. #
- So much for early to bed. #
- So much for sleep. Mere exhaustion and it being the vital catch up night apparently don’t count. #
- Now can I sleep? #
- @magic8bot is a brilliantly funny idea. #
- Noting mass of stretch marks on superfluous belly skin reminded me of my mother’s fat & gonna die spiel when she’d see same on me as a kid. #
- Man that was hard to compress into 140 characters. #
- I triumphantly concluded that my 64 oz of coffee had less sugar than 64 oz Kool-Aid & therefore wasn’t *that* outrageously sweetened. #
- I shouldn’t be sleeping after downing 64 oz of coffee in space of an hour or so. #
- Apparently in the last tweet I was sleepy enough to write “sleeping” when I meant “sleepy.” Had I been sleeping, how could I be typy. #
- Ref letter done and ready to go in an envelope for pickup or delivery. Haven’t heard from him yet. Time to call my mother. Do I hafta… #
- @EternalWanderer Hey, I’ve probably done it, though my main sleepwalking phase was when I lived in Plympton. Lucky I never fell down stairs. #
- Oh right. Not blog stuff. Calling my mother. And post office. #
- Jumped car is running to charge & maybe help if it even gets emissions test. Gotta run around corner and see what fails inspection. #
- Also… I can’t figure how how on earth you set the clock on the car radio! I always figure those out, eventually. It should speak to me… #
- In that “it’s an electronic gadget so I should intuit what the deal is” sort of way. Anywho, burning gas. Time to proceed. #
- The Buick passed inspection! It may be partly because in 2007 I spent 10% of my income at that garage, but yay anyway. #
- Now we need a battery for it, which is more than I can afford. Just inconvenient to jump it whenever it’s sat more than a day. #

Twitter Updates for 2008-12-28
- @EternalWanderer There are worse deaths than shock, no? #
- Managed to salvage the living room from Christmas. Not so good on the kitchen, but started and had already made progress before today. #
- I should go back to sleep. Need more padding to be comfortable sleeping, after losing all my fat. It’s strange. #
- Odd time to be in my best physical condition ever. It’s a drastic change though. #
- And doesn’t count the odd numbness, which seems to have gone with the change & can be triggered, & stuff like needing a dermatologist. #
- Ultimately fell asleep again and stayed more or less that way until 10:15. #
- Wonder if kids will let me write the green card reference letter I stopped before xmas then totally forgot until reminded this AM. #
- Lunch, kitchen floor, dishpan zero if possible, trash, site work, paper sorting, list making also on the impossible agenda. #
- Apparently I am the 16 mo’s slave today. I mean, more than usual. #
- Finished reference letter! Which I can crib as a description of my background now, since it explains Stream developer support well. #
- Just noticed that not only a two younger kids mothing me, Henry is diaperless. Wonder if I’ll find anything traumatic or just soaked discard #
- @robmay Was that used in a movie or show? Don’t know Green Day but on Deb’s CD that was familiar. #
- Pile of stuff on microwave didn’t make it this time when I moved cart to sweep. Amazed it did all the other times. #
- I’d say it was time for a breathing check on baby, but he stirred when I went in there short time ago. Long nap. #
- My poor mother doesn’t realize that Deb would rather claw her eyes out than have a visit pointedly scheduled while Deb is home on day off. #
- But it’s nice of her to think Deb ought to be here during the delivery of gifts from that entire part of the family. #
- Just realized this is a week of another holiday & probably one morning will be off for me. #
- Seems like it’s time to feed the monsters. #

Twitter Updates for 2008-12-27
- Whole new world. Most seasonal ppl already gone. Peak was low this year so it is closer to norm already. #
- Weird. Somehow the rubber part of the driver side wiper blade went away completely. Glad it wasn’t downpoury. #
- Funny to be freezing now & wrapping in a blanket, but I spent most of shift unloading trailers in a T-shirt. #
- Gotta run to AutoZone to get wiper blades, before I fall asleep and miss the chance. #
- @bostonwriter 1st time I heard the Daughtry CD I thought it was OK but bland, then it grew on me. #
- Working on plans for using Twitter in a new and interesting old way. #
- Guess I’ll go back to trying to feed kids, rather than giving up in disgust because they are in the way. #
- @EternalWanderer People nagged you? I don’t recall doing that! #
- @caltechgirl Fresburg’s revenge… #

Twitter Updates for 2008-12-26
- @Shurakai Why yes, yes you do. Even the non-musical commentary is cool. #
- Got massive sleep. Feel like I could continue as long again to be sated. If I go to sleep early tonight should be on track. #
- Dismayed and amused nobody bothered to take trash to street last night for pickup. I’ve done it majority of the time, just didn’t this one. #
- Someone *always* gets it if I don’t. Very rare for this to happen. Not feeling too bad since I also did majority of snow shoveling recently. #
- Talking to self about making them open face turkey sandwiches for lunch, baby heard me, opened fridge & pointed at bag of turkey, so… #
- He and Val had turkey for breakfast, along with half a Pop-Tart each, while Sadie stuck with M&Ms. Cute. #
- @phillymac Also known as Boxing Day. People I worked with from Canada thought we were silly not to observe the holiday. #
- Once again open face turkey sandwiches & side of cranberry sauce are Best Food Ever. Barely saved enough turkey for Deb to have later. #
- This should result in contented kids for the afternoon. Knock on laminate. #

Twitter Updates for 2008-12-25
- Sleep would have been good, but this was a fun one, with the kids now old enough to grok it better. #
- Is it wrong of me to suggest Valerie and Sadie name their new dolls Kaylee and Inara? #
- Always have to look up turkey roasting time. That’d be about 4 hours, so I’d better get on with it. #
- Speaking of things to do while turkey cooks, the Dr. Horrible DVD works if I tip the DVD player forward slightly. #
- Need to get Sadie’s bag of Jelly Bellies away from me! #
- Horrible musical commentary is brilliant. Especially Asians in movies song. #
- Back to the kitchen! #

Twitter Updates for 2008-12-24
- I think I’ll be ready for Christmas to arrive in about a year. That works, right? #
- This AM I told Deb I got s-t-o-c-k-i-n-g s-t-u-f-f-e-r-s. Afterward Sadie told her I’d gotten “stocking stuff.” Who taught her to spell? #
- I should rescue the monsters from tub, put away leftovers, do some cleaning, etc. #
- That’s not a good sound… #
- @robmay Absolutely not. #
- @robmay I say that as a big tipper and a sometime buyer of such things, which are normally a hostess/register/front desk item, not waitress. #
- Baby sleeping soundly. Sadie winding down. Val out of sorts. Trying to grab shower, hoping Deb home from night out soon. #
- Back sore = not asleep. #
- If back is going to hurt sitting too, may as well lay back down. Argh. Ooh, and maybe remember to take the pre-sleep painkillers! Oops. #
- Took the option of being one who left early rather than waiting for more traiilers to show. 6 of us to work 2. #
- Officially staying perm! Drops to 10-15 hrs. Got to be the one to find checks were on end of a trailer. #
- And it is hailing as I go to head home for unexpected extra sleep. Prob turn to rain fast but ick. #
- This’ll be a horribly small week, but it feels awesome to have the next 2 nights off. #
- Thinking Deb is right about us overlooking Val as the more prodigal kid. She doesn’t seem that advanced for a 5 yo. Wait, she’s 2. We forget #
- @mtpolitics With a freezer? Dry ice? Reverse ray? #
- @Shurakai I keep “hearing” that as “Happy Christmas evil!” Yes, I’m “deeply weird,” as I was recently informed. #
- I seem to have Shortest Temper Ever today. Not sure why, in more proximate rather than overarching terms. #
- Can’t just be bc kids won’t get out of way of cleaning, or bc I have to arrange for my mother to drop off boxes of “no, *I’m* Santa” stuff. #
- Happy merry etc. & pardon if you also get e-mail: http://elhide.com/xmas/ #
- That’s a virtual card to sub for being unable to afford to print & mail our usual. Art by me & Sadie. Now to send e-mails… #
- Well, that’s a little stress off. Prob won’t see my mother until after Christmas. Girls had fun talking to her. #
- Wish the fun of wrapping presents for mom didn’t have to end in tears because Val didn’t want to stick a label when chance was offered. #
- @neatlytangled Are you SURE? Cuz we’re pretty insane right now. #

Twitter Updates for 2008-12-23
- Apparently Netflix is barfing people’s queue contents into endless streams of tweets now? #
- Horrible DVD played on computer OK. Tried DVD player again, bad getting past 1st screen & menu loaded, then worked, didn’t freeze this time. #
- Interestingly, we also had trouble with Firefly having menus that didn’t want to load, and a set with a mislabeled DVD. Bad manufacturer? #
- Setting alarms & going to bed now! 2 AM remains early. Should be a heavy shift, perhaps heaviest the rest of year. #
- #dailygoals 1 for 3, got dishes. Didn’t get back in flow of letter. Opened card only enough to see I did lose some to power blink. #
- Feel much better rested, but soon as I got up legs did the “we’ll sleep now” sensation. Annoying. #
- That’s more like it! Almost 5 hrs that didn’t feel like it and a lot of helpful work beyond unloading. #
- Rocked the smalls sort so that was done timely, did runbacks, had worst trailer on incompatibles ever. #
- Anywho, since it’s already this late I’ll see about one of the shopping runs. Hope they have turkeys out already. #
- @MikeG1 Some would say Townhouse are better than Ritz. At any rate, they might be acceptable in the face of said starvation. #
- @caltechgirl Merry Christmas and thanks for all the tweets. Have fun storming the Fresburg! #
- Turns out the tag stripping issue between 2 host servers may be PHP 5.x vs 4.x, not Apache version as I’d suspected. #
- I prefer oatmeal raisin cookies to chocolate chip any day. Does that make me eccentric? Or just something worse? #
- Hard to believe it’s been almost a year since nothing happened. Well, 10 months, almost. #
- Must work on online xmas card above all. Wish I had a better group photo for it. #
- @margilowry E-mail is our friend. #
- Still not convinced my efforts to get Google to hurry up & uncache my removed posts about nothing already weren’t behind our PR plummeting. #
- @margilowry Went above & beyond, deleting tweet about nothing at the time, when tweets could still be deleted. #
- Guess I should inwestigate the crying. Should have gone right from helping Sadie draw cars to making the rats supper. #
- Could go simpler as Deb is off for the night, but have fresh chicken bought this AM so should use some of it. #
- Kids = 144 #
- @neatlytangled Meant to relay that your mother called & would love to talk to you sometime. #
- I still joke about the “war on Earth,” remembering “war on terror” repeatedly sounding like “war on Terra.” #
- Making a sweeter, almost barbecue version of the spicy red sauce chicken I used to make from my stepsister’s inexact recipe. #
- Thought I was about to create new #resolutions tag but searched & found it widely used already. #
- I normally don’t do new year #resolutions, but I thought I’d make an exception and resolve to be less passive next year and beyond. #
- Veggies! To go with the pending chicken and leftover rice. Off I go again… #
- Just gave Sadie Cran-Tangerine juice. Now Green Tambourine by the Lemon Pipers is stuck in my head with word substitution. #

- Good samaritan who plowed the bank of slush and ice chunks from end of our and next door driveways: THANK YOU! #
- Feeling rushed suddenly for crazy midnight shift at FredCo. Sad that gift Dr. Horrible DVD is defective & won’t play. #
- Hope kids behave & sleep with me not here. Anywho, time for shower, coffee, etc. #
- Lame. Out at 2:55 from the mega 18 triuck dhift. Biut as well because my sleep deprivation was showing bad. #
- To the point I don’t think they anted help witjh the other stuff I could have helped ith. #
- Got home w/o incident & finished fill & run dishwasher. Now if lucky maybe 6 hrs then 4 before work 3 AM tomorrow. #
- Doesn’t help I’ve bordered on a cold & seem beat by sll the shoveling, but I worked as if I were drunk, & half speed. #
- Fell asleep a little slowly, but slept until 9. Yay! Tonight should be reasonable and I’ll be caught up enough again. #
- Need to write a worked with/for ref letter for former colleague’s green card application today. Sounds extremely hoop-jumpy. #
- @CloudySky Happy birthday! #
- @jaygarmon Happy birthday! #
- You’d think I’d get more sleep, if that is all the kids will allow me to do. And that not reliably. #
- #dailygoals Empty dishwasher, write reference letter, finish virtual xmas card. #
- Made mistake of walking into the colder end of apartment and now can’t get warm again. Temp gradient is absurd. #
- @danieljohnsonjr Indeed. More people drink coffee these days. #
- Time to feed the kids something, then get back to my reference/employment verification letter. #
- I swear it’s getting colder. It’s now cold even in the office, and my hands are cold enough to hurt. #
- Nope, it’s warmer. 22 degrees. Windchill 15. Up from 18 and 12 a little while ago. #

- There’s a Chipotle in Dedham? I thought there were none anywhere near MA. Makes it easier to try, someday. #
- @shartlen @Shurakai, my brother, loves them and taunts us with his frequent Chipotle dining, claiming we’re really missing out. #
- @listener42 Trips to Walmart are like that, in my experience. Then again, I can spend $80 picking up “bread” at the supermarket. #
- Note to self: Do not drink excess coffee too soon before an extended snow shoveling session. Thatisall. #
- @SeanMarler That is an awesome band name. #
- Woke at 3 AM from crazy dreams for bladder, only it was 8 AM. Owner at former client as father figure? Sick with tech support phobia? #
- Freezing and need to wake up slowly. Ideally by way of more sleep but would settle for warm blankets. #
- I feel now the way I should at end of day when I’m perfectly tired enough to sleep. After 9 hours sleep. Guess I was in deficit. #
- 32 ounces of coffee later, I feel like I could sleep like a rock for several hours. #
- @bhdonovan Aren’t they usually? #
- The 1-3 band has moved to the Canal and we are now in the 3-6 band. Yay. Per WHDH anyway. Wunderground still says 1-3 here. #
- @VodkaPundit Mmmm… cumin. One of my most used spices. #
- Oven at 275 for ham is not hot enough to counter the incoming chill fully. Not to my liking, anyway. #

Twitter Updates for 2008-12-20
- 3 Of us rocked the driveway spotless in under an hour. 6 Inches and counting. Mostly 2 of us. #
- Weirdest shift ever. 2 Trailers, not here yet at 4 so we had a big safety meeting. #
- Was to be 2 then pause then 2 but so late we are starting midnight for Monday shift instead of 1:30. #
- Driving wasn’t bad. Leave it to me to be early on snow day despite getting behind 15 mph plow gang. #
- Nap time. Crashed partway through the only trailer I helped unload, sick, weak, exhausted. Serious catchup needed before Mon. AM 12:00 shift #
- sad I didn’t sleep. Shouldn’t have dwung by landlorf on way home and lost that time. #
- This is the Energizer Snow. It seems to have finally accumulated some since 8 PM when driveway was cleared. #
- Driving was OK with weight in back. Made work in 25 mins last night. Biggest challenge was braking distance. #
- Overshot Wood St coming up Wareham St & had to turn around, rather than slide trying to stop. #
- So we’re the worst site for injuries in the entire company & nobody is sure why, so drastic measure being deployed to work on it. #
- It’s *Saturday* Whale. You are NOT over capacity. #
- Shoveled again, another 4-5″ but fluffier than last night’s. Didn’t do the whole driveway this time. #
- Leavesfirstmobile that requires spot nearest street during snow has finally been driven somewhere. #
- @ChefMark Danica rocks. Great book title, too. #
- Considering baking either apple crisp or something for supper. Potato puffs didn’t warm things up enough. #
- Trying to create online xmas card. No entirely sure where I’ll go with it, but it’ll be at elhide.com/xmas eventually. #
- Girls are eating blueberry pie, their favorite, while boy soaks in tub. He’s been trying juices, since his sensitivity lessened… #
- He seems able to drink unlimited Cran-Grape, but gets mildly red faced in reaction to rub red & tangerine, as he seemed to with apple. #
- Odd, since he has been eating so much apple no problem, but it’s also about the processing and concentrations. Plus Cran is already watered. #
- As of 7 AM 12.3″ snow was reported for Middleboro. It’s been snowing lightly all day since then. Sheesh. #
- Ooh, we appear to be in the 1-3″ band for tomorrow’s snow. That’s a change. Time to go out & touch up the driveway momentarily. #

- One of our totally cool readers/online friends mailed us a package of art supply presents for the kids! #
- Speaking of which, I should go drag them out of the bath. If I can move, having overstuffed myself. #
- On another note, I saw Sadie’s first ever “ooh, he’s cute” look on her face when she saw a friend’s son on a card we got. That was weird. #
- No excuse to be late. Woke at midnight, never slept again. #
- Spent so much time trying to tshoot Blackberry eirdness I didn’t quite make it on time. Duh. #
- Another 4.5 hour day. Sat we start late, 4:00, light day bc snow. Monday is 1:30! Full shift and some bc snow. #
- In the hey Mikey or Oscar speech dept, as I get into January I will learn more of the jobs to be well rounded. #
- Since it is slower and there will be fewer of us then. Apparently I am hard working and reliable. #
- And now maybe I will reboot this thing again so I can see my sent and received sms and email. Grrr. #
- Leaving store for bank. Not seeing the time for 3rd errand. Oh well. #
- Leaving bank for home. @neatlytangled will want to avoid seeing wehat is in bags btw, and yay for water. #
- If the date on you Blackberry travels back in time over a year, your inbox may by wonky. #
- It’ll be interesting digging out a spot for Deb to get into when she gets home tonight if the neighbors are parked there. #
- @Shurakai That was what I was saying, yes. Unload supervisor showed me conveyor splitting they’ll have me try when slower, part of rounding. #
- @Shurakai Helped with staging home delivery to where drivers load respective routes/segments as today’s new thing. #
- Need to feed the kids who are awake & try to be more so myself. Not enough nap. Freezing. #
- I lost 38 followers in past day? Must be even lamer than I thought! #
- Snow barely started & already looks substantial. Hope the neighbors hogging our spot thing isn’t a problem later. #
- For those who recall my Twitter web interface problem with typing latency, seems video setting/driver change solved it. #
- @gregverdino That’s one of my pet peeves. I’ve posted similarly a few times over the past 5 years. #
- @gregverdino I like to compare it to calling an article a magazine. “I just wrote a magazine! It’ll be in the next issue of Time.” #

- Shocked the kids are all dressed for bed so early. Henry should go right out. He fell asleep on kitchen floor minutes before supper. #
- Woke back up just in time. Looked like he was relaxing back to sleep in tub afterward. #
- @MikeG1 Had to Google what you meant by stollen. My reaction: I love fruitcake! If it’s any good. #
- That went late. Dragging. At least if I have a big bruise on my neck I’ll renenber where I got it. Near knockout. #
- If you are the manager’s boss and you tell people to do what they’d do anyway, you’re superfluous. #
- Snow is really going to suck. Will have to shovel at 2 am. Sat. Sb light but then prob have to work Mon. #
- @Lagwolf Happy birthday! #
- @mhking Happy birthday! #
- @pixxiespaz He used to be sensitive to some of the dyes. That seems to have mostly passed. Clear Kool-Aid was his main flavor. #

- Apparently both girls have decided Beauty and the Beast is the Best Movie Ever. Nice to see them be that discerning. #
- Trouble with Sadie laying down with me and bringiong a book is she reads and comments aloud. #
- Baby toddled in with sister in tow and woke me right after I fell asleep. He’s very helpful. #
- @FroynLaven Nope, we don’t have Monsters Inc and I never heard of Thief & Cobbler. Was thinking about making list, earlier. #
- When I realized we don’t have Toy Story 2. #
- I should lay back down and try to get the 2 hours of sleep available. Mucky weather will want me out of here with extra drive time, too. #
- Over 4:15 despite having been slightly late. Very rough night. Misting currently, not quoite frozen. #
- 90 mins nap would prob reset me and keep day on track. Was gonna stop at store but not urgent. #
- Stopping at Hannaford for TP so don’t have to worry about it. Maybe tortillas, couple other thingd. #
- Trying to stay awake and get something anything done. Was going to make refried beans homemade but got a bit late for that already. #
- OK, back to working on steak burritos for supper. #

- Looks like 2nd wk in row of Chuck refs to my fave xmas movie ever, Die Hard. #
- Forgot to hit EP on the frickin VCR when I told it to record, so 2 hrs & 5 mins was too much for a tape that seems to hold 6 hrs on EP. #
- The first time this season of Heroes it actually mattered that it was recording. #
- Setting alarm for 2 AM & trying to get monsters to sleep. Which they want to do in my spot. Cuz why NOT be in way when I leave at 2:30ish. #
- 4.5 hours is good. That it’s a couple days work in that time needs to change. 9 trailers today. #
- Seatbelts everyone! #
- @MikeG1 It’s always disturbing when they want me to upgrade my Flash player. #
- Funny kids, asking for bowls of black pepper potato chips and Craisins to snack on. #

- Don’t feel like I got half the substantial sleep I got. Way too much to do today. Trick’ll be simply to start, anywhere. #
- @chucksimmins Of course he won’t. It’ll be clean slate in that regard. Bush? Depends on status in retrospect but probably not him either. #
- Feeling lively, most of way through 3rd mug of coffee. The mug is 16 ounces. Mmmm… caffeine. #
- @chucksimmins Right, the good Bush. Heh. #
- Apologized to Sadie earlier for laughing when Val was beating the crap out of her, like a little wolverine. Luckily not a wolveroach. #
- @chucksimmins The time I had to use paper towel because we were out of filters I swore the coffee was better. #
- It’s a weekday so poking job listings with a stick makes more sense than when I did it over the weekend. I’ll add that to the focus of day. #
- Which also includes dishes and office cleaning. #
- It’d be cool to have a job listing site/filter that could show all, less exceptions by type of work, like healthcare. #
- Henry has decided it’s fun to remove the knobs from the stove and disappear them. #
- Got remote editor character stripping issue with one hosting account issue queued with support. Now to start tearing office apart, #
- Never finished removing things from broken desk to see if can be fixed, etc. #
- @Ithildyn They like you. They really really like you! #
- Tired of the kid who goes to pieces for an hour in response to being handed a drink. #
- Happens most of the time even if she has asked for it, let alone when you’re being thirst anticipatory. #
- Apple juice = splotchy red face, mild itch. Still didn’t outgrow it completely. #

Twitter Updates for 2008-12-14
- Over 10 hours of sleep! Punctuated only by the 2 AM alarm, oops. #
- @abigvictory Redundant Array of Inexpensive Drives. Method for having multi drives act as single larger drive & not lose data if one fails. #
- @abigvictory The RAID configs you can use have numbers. RAID5 would have 3 or more drives & be mirrored and striped. #
- @abigvictory Simplest is 2 drives, mirrored. Slower writing but it’s like realtime backup of everything as you do it. #
- @abigvictory Google could no doubt tell you more & better detail & accuracy than I can, & add details like hardware vs software controlled. #
- It’s been a while. Just did some LinkedIn invitations to new members I knew & 1 who didn’t respond way back but should have. #
- Need to update profile & emphasize job hunter. FredCo PT job is the prominent item currently. #
- Had no plans to bake today but I’m freezing and thus tempted. OTOH can’t do that every time temps are 40s or below all winter. #
- Lamenting being unable to afford the normal picture card printing & postage. 130 is just under $100, which’d cover expected Buick cost… #
- Needs a battery, besides inspection & presumably 2 tires. Figure truck needs $300, but $100 to start, fluids & diagnostics. #
- Probably try to get pic suitable for card, post special online, send people URL, send a few traditional cards already on hand. #
- @Shurakai Are you headed here? Or special assignment for work? #
- Interesting biz use of Twitter by @FlatIronCafe, potentially good if you’re local to Middleboro, MA. #
- @chrisgarrett I always loved ABBA. 16 mo son does too, especially Agnetha. #
- Hadn’t fully updated my list so was several short when I estimated xmas card cost. Probably about 140 total I’d want to send. #
- Ham is big exception to the “bored with leftovers” rule. Kids requested ham & cheese sandwiches for lunch, after ham for supper. #
- Tried to get pic of kids suitable for card. Cuteness, but fail overall. #
- Speaking of fail, with sleep deficit trimmed should have gotten more done today. #
- one kid chooses suppertime to nap and only will sleep on me, or at least seems allergic to what I put him down on. #
- Other kid denied bandaid for uninjured foot picks at it until mangled bleeding in a couple places. Disturbing. #
