Tersosity & Verbosity

  • Why would installing an updated ATI video driver cause some kind of SQL Server performance monitoring to kick in & fail b/c SQL disabled… #
  • Looks like some known thing with sqlctr60 and perflib, broken by the “ATI wants to do more than simply drive your video” components. #
  • Still. Haven’t turned SQL Exec etc. on in at least several months. Shouldn’t be a factor beyond using a little disk space. But hey… #
  • At least the machine hasn’t spontaneously turned itself off cold since I updated the video driver I suspected was corrupt. #
  • Told kids bedtime was 7:00 periodendofstory. Better start evicting them from tub. Supper ran late enough to saute my words. #
  • Made it turn off, despite the video driver update. Repeat scenario, too, caused by playing Snood. Usually it’s random while in Firefox. #
  • Poll inspired by @neatlytangled: If one shoelace is loose & needs to be retied, do find you MUST retie the other one too or it feels wrong? #
  • I’d never heard of Colonel Bleep before. Freaky. #
  • Snow was not in the forecast. #
  • @y2vonne We had it on for the kids for a while, sort of paying minor attention to part of it. #
  • @sharone75 My eyes are such that on Blackberry I read “discovered the mouse…” and then it made no sense so I had to try again. #
  • @Shurakai Not break. Feel loose, so you retie one tighter than it had been. Do you compulsively retie the other too, even if not loose. #
  • @cehwiedel Ancient cartoon. Opened a 12 DVD set of cartoons in effort to distract kids. Prob late 40s start of 50s. #
  • @cehwiedel Which really makes it less ancient than a lot of them we have. Very cheesy. Very atomic-focused. Classic narration voice. #
  • Attempting to damp cook beef in oven to be shredded later for burritos. Warmth is good. #
  • @Shurakai And yeah, absolutely change both ASAP, subject to emergency delay. Since they always break when late/harried. #
  • After last shutoff Win2k box wouldn’t boot all the way. Have it in safe mode for further testing. #
  • Maybe it’s a DirectX problem… #
  • @cehwiedel They have it on special at Wal-Mart, $9-odd, says 600 cartoons, over 60 hrs, 12 DVDs. Mill Creek, IIRC. Yes. #
  • @y2vonne Heh. Never been into sports, particularly football. Weird, huh? My father probably wonders what happened. #
  • Can’t believe I started meat for burritos early this afternoon & never though of beans from scratch. Will have to open a can. Duh. #

  • Open face turkey sandwiches were a massive hit. Henry ate an entire slice, 1/4 can cranberry sauce, some peas. #
  • Almost managed to get them all to sleep before their mother was due home. Val wants to be an only child & Henry was unserious about sleep. #
  • Darn eyes are still kind of fuzzy. #
  • That went a bit long for such a light day. 3:00 start time (ues, 15 min earlier. Volume begins. #
  • @MikeG1 Wanna trade? I bet mine can outdisobey yours. But they love to eat! #
  • Trying to psych myself up to drag kids out to corner for the parade at 1:00. #
  • Should make turkey soup today. Still enough of 16lbs ;eft for a sandwich or two and that. #
  • 2 yo is insulted that the couch cushions stole her hair, angrily picking it off & saying “let go!” Told he she shed it fair & square. #
  • This was so upsetting that she completely missed lunch, which has now been mangled by her brother while I wasn’t looking. #
  • @phillymac Ah, but did you answer to it? #
  • It was a massive relief to have an extra adult for the parade. Would have *really* hurt to hold 2 kids for the duration. #
  • @Pistachio “High” and “, Miller” came to mind, strangely. #
  • Nap sounds good. Kids trying to eat as much candy as possible post-parade. #
  • I know, I know… not a surprise considering the parents, but man we have weird kids. #
  • Sadie is sucking a cherry candy cane down to a thin center nib, then breaking it off & discarding, rather than chewing it. #

  • @Ithildyn Thanks! It was Henry’s first real food Thanksgiving. Bonus he can eat stuff he couldn’t before. Loved cranberry sauce. #
  • Rubbed sage definitely beats the powdered stuff. #
  • Henry didn’t break my favorite mug. Moving it to keep it out of his reach did though. Got 10 years out of it. None of the others are as big. #
  • I sense a disturbance in the caffeine routine. #
  • Why yes, I babble in the face of needing to take trash out & drag barrels to the street for pickup tomorrow morning. #
  • I hate waking up with allergy eye so severe & painful I can’t see usefully. #
  • @pc4media Happy birthday! #
  • Keep trying to get in shower before Deb leaves, if only because that usually makes me able to see when my eyes do this. #
  • Kids aren’t looking, hee goes… #
  • Better, but it’s still like welding flash to look at a monitor. Well, lots of non-computer stuff to do. #
  • Deb is off to today’s special episode of Retail Theater. #
  • Pursuing theory of corrupt video driver, installed updated Radeon 7200 driver on Win2k box. Now it’s hurry and wait. #
  • Kids keep asking for “more chicken!” Periodically I note that it’s turkey as I hand out more. They’re dipping in Kool-Aid as if it’s sauce. #
  • Time to feed the monsters. Open face with gravy & side of cran sauce? Or turkey salad sandwich? Or something else? Decisions… #
  • Not in mood for “help.” Sadie wouldn’t leave kitchen so I came back here & told her they could just eat later. #
  • Partly a matter of I want to prepare opinion-free servings & present them w/o “no, I want [something else]!” interjections. #
  • @phillymac In? I had today off from FredCo. Deb worked at MegaLoMart, but 24 hrs already so no extend. I may have longer shift tonight. #
  • @phillymac And after tonight expect longer shifts to be norm until just after xmas. Be nice to have a lot in next couple weeks. #
  • Sounds quiet. Maybe I can heat food now. Think I’m going for the open face & cranberry sauce overload. #

  • Yay for getting paid! And the $1.00 glloves? Lasted a shift. Well! 2 holes. Still beats bare. #
  • My reflexes. Let me show you them. Actually hurt my arm while not hitting the nice deer on 495. #
  • It was supposedly slow but it seemed like we had a lot. Unloaded over 2 full trailers worth myself far as I can tell. #
  • Deciding whether to try sleeping an hour or so before starting on food prep. We eat late & I need, say, 5.5 hrs from fridge to carving. #
  • Everything else can be done while turkey is in oven, so it’s the yardstick. #
  • Usually it’s a frozen bird that’s only barley thawed after 4-5 days in fridge, so I have to cook & thaw at once. #
  • @moogiesworld Yep, I’m the cook. #
  • *belch* #
  • ’scuse me :> #

  • Scanning some of Sadie’s pen drawings she’s done in little notepads. #
  • Too darn early. #
  • So much for the management expecting us to be out by 6:15. But I think they kept me later as others left. #
  • Had my 1st heavy box to the head. Not a knockout but could have been easily. And had a slowmo pratfall. Yay. #
  • I totally want to hold one or more kids all day while helplessly doing absolutely nothing. #
  • Especially not the one who’s a neurotic pile. #
  • @Ithildyn # Makes it distinct for search so you can see what’s being said about a topic. #
  • @Ithildyn # May not be needed to make a tag distinct, but tells all “hey, this is a tag” so they know to also use or search under same. #
  • Apparently I need to salve and rubber glove my hands before doing intensely painful things like touching food. #
  • It’s feeding time for the mosters. Sadie had trouble with no rolls meaning hot dog can’t go ona roll. #
  • Remarkably, most kids do make it to adulthood. #
  • @pixxiespaz Yes, should be fine. Crust can also be made all or part with shortening. #
  • @Ithildyn Seems to work for me, real term or # one, frex: http://search.twitter.com/search?q=xover #
  • Put all energy into work. Kids sucking away the rest. Must. Clean. House. Etc. Baby refuses to nap. Augh. #
  • Sadie is channeling Oliver Twist or something. Mini marshmallows ftw. #

  • What a weird shift. Short even had I not been late. Everyone was slow. Belt stopped more than went. #
  • Glad this monsoon isn’t in frozen form. Was going to stop at store but would have to kill half an hour. #
  • @TomRaftery I realized early in my blogging career, in 2003, that there wasn’t much to CP besides fluffy self-promotion. #
  • Apparently I needed more sleep than I realized. #
  • Since it’s Tuesday and it’s not that much more, going to try to get a fresh turkey instead of frozen. #
  • I end up thawing them as they cook every time, so it might not matter, but it’ll be a nice change. 4-5 days in fridge=still frozen for us. #
  • Since it’s about 3 hours later than expected, I ought to have a bite to eat, drink more coffee and get moving. #
  • @phillymac Because you’re a rational serf. Er, I mean human being. #
  • @phillymac I know. <Dr. Evil>7.5 *tillion* dollars!</Dr. Evil> #
  • That was yummy. Now what else to eat besides a little macaroni with ham and parm? Calories please! #
  • The road to serfdom is paved with good intentions. #
  • Let’s do the economic equivalent of saddling us with the TSA! Fun, and so good for our children’s children’s children & other living things. #

  • Computer so far works fine in safe mode without & now with networking. Bet the shutdowns are a corrupt driver. Maybe crud. #
  • Back seems upset that I didn’t abuse it by moving 1500 packages or wrestling 145 lb oddball stuff today. Go figure. #
  • Apparently adequate sleep makes me cranky. At least combined w/back pain, finger pain, & getting a cold b/c I was inside & warm overnight. #
  • My healthiest winters ever were the 4 I spent delivering Boston Globes every AM at 4:00 (1:00 Sundays) driving with window open. #
  • @abigvictory Wow, @sekimori is mean! Does chuckling at it make me mean too? #
  • @danabrit Perhaps Patrick Stewart could issue the order? “Engage!” #
  • @robmay I tend to turn that and other Seuss into song, so I can just imagine. #
  • @pixxiespax Maybe google accidental verbosity sugar cookies? #

  • Way too late to be going to bed. Everyone else beat me. 3 Hours until I have to be up, so here goes… #
  • Slightly late day. Cool. Worst case direct dep aotopilots a 2nd week. Likely case it stops next one. #
  • Best but unlikely case would be if there is provision for direct deposit to be oopsed & reversed despite freeze. #
  • Ok, off to landlord, gas and store. Yay for end of week! #
  • Nice to have $11 buy almost 6 gallons. Takes us at least to Wednesday, maybe Thurs AM. #
  • Not sure when payday is next week. We work Turkey Day AM but not Friday AM. Xmas is 2 off days. #
  • Wonder what I am forgetting I want or need at Stop & Shop… #
  • Some cups of coffee are just doomed. #
  • @Ithildyn Deb would love to learn spinning eventually. Copious spare time, yada yada,,, #
  • Hot dogs didn’t fare well either, underheating because of the forgotten coffee mug in microwave with them. #
  • Must get work gloves. Each day hand heal barely enough not to writhe voluminously when slinging work packages, then spend hours unusable. #
  • The 2 days off give hands enough time to be almost human before abusing them again. #
  • Silly children. Bath should not lead to anyone crying like that… #

  • So unpredictable what kid will eat. Val barely tasted hers. Sadie had 2nds of chicken and butternut. #
  • Time to go to bed. Except have to wash some dishes & put leftovers away & stuff first. And treat my hands. 10+ slices/gouges. Dry. Ouch. #
  • Which means NOW it’s time to go to bed and hope 3 hrs is enough. Errands after work in AM so no morning nap to help out. #
  • Really have to do something about my main computer dying. Can’t print with it off. Lack handy access to much of my info. Etc. #
  • Trouble with being early is having to wait until 3 mins before start to punch in. #
  • Absolute worst possible snafu happened this week. #
  • If you say “do direct deposit” and then cancel it a day later when accpount is nfg, don’t expect it to happen. #
  • The account I’d added for direct deposit, then deleted, was back when I checked. Deleted again & clearly gone but can’t trust it. #
  • BigCo HR intranet loses its benefit if you have to call & talk to someone to be SURE a change happens. #
  • Win2k machine has run for hours w/o shutting off abruptly… in safe mode. Hmmm… #
  • I went out cold asleep for a couple hrs middle of day. Henry decided to nap with me. Must have needed it. Or as out cold as it gets… #
  • Once you have the habit of “listen for kids” sleep you snap out of too easily from a sleep perspective but ideally as protective instinct. #
  • Shoot, we got Wizbanged in Jay Tea’s swan song post on a day I posted nothing, not even anything lame. #
  • OK, gotta cook. Both supper and Deb’s requested apple crisp. And maybe chili to have ready for tomorrow. #
  • Bringing us bananas is a mean thing to do to Henry, who has to watch while girls Must Have Now. #

  • Bedtime. Too soon, but so is alarm time. #
  • Going to bed nfg if sleep evades you too long. #
  • Early? What’s up with that? Hope I don’t freeze on the dock today. #
  • Brrr! But I rocked. And I need to buy cheap work gloves, or find ones I may already have. #
  • RomneyCare is a disaster in MA. Let’s scale it up nationally! Yay for pork in a poke. #
  • Since I’m awake after my 1.5 hr AM nap, and there are no more open tabs to read but this one, I’ll start yesterday’s vital tasks. #
  • If my ragged fingers can stand to do anything. Typing sure hurts. Gloves indeed. #
  • Valerie is obsessed with cars and would like a pink one for Christmas. #
  • Amused with workorders that offer $25/hr and are made of demanding and red tape and haugjhty buyer. #
  • I really HATE the “want to nap, no play on your lap, no nap, no play and climb…” routine. #
  • 15 month old celebrated 15 mos today by demoing limit to how much tomato soup is safe. #
  • At least when following whatever element of trail mix he apparently got hands on this morning to pre-inflame. #
  • Poor Henry. His eyes are so puffy he can barely open them. Mostly now he’s drugged & just woke. #

  • I turned http://tinyurl.com/5h4z2t into invention of apple cranberry honey spice squares FTW. #
  • I’ll have to make it again to get measurements and to tweak just slightly. It’s a great not-too-sweet item. #
  • We ate half of the apple cranberry bar things already (9×13 pan). Henry thinks it’s Best Food Ever. 1.5 hrs late getting to bed. Or several. #
  • Must sleep more. It’s affexting ability to do the job well. #
  • Crashed as soon as I got home for 90 minutes+ of pretty good sleep. Freezing. Looks like I’m making apple crisp to warm place up. #
  • Temp in here managed to drop to 60, which is the lowest we plan to have it be all winter. It borders on bearable. Need to winterize more. #
  • Introduced kids to potato puffs ftw and Henry got a little relish on his tuna for 1st time. #
  • Tuna salad for egg allergy boy I use a little canola oil instead, and spices maybe heavier than with mayo. #
  • @robmay would be proud that I served Pop Tarts for desert. #
  • Funny kids. Abandoned graham crackers in favor of grape tomatoes. Even Henry snagged one. #
  • Having worst neck & shoulder pain that seems to flare and subside with severity of need to sleep. #
  • Supper won’t happen timely if I manage to slip in a nap now despite kids. Whatever supper is going to be. #

  • Step 1: Put greasy goop on hands so they’ll be better off in AM. Step 2: Remember you have to set alarms on cell phones. Oops. #
  • Aside from the alarms being set for 1:55 and 2:10, 10 min snooze, drop dead out door time 3:00, shower & shave needed before I go (kids). #
  • Didn’t get as much catch up sleep last night & before as I might have. None, really. Need to go from work to errands in AM, no sleep after. #
  • Lack of sleep is no match for me… Bwah ha ha. #
  • Now off to shopping. Yay. #
  • Done shopping. Poor pantry. Small xmas or just cuz gifts for girls, buck each. #
  • Miss Twitter way too much when it’s down and I want to make idle remarks, like about how I finally got boots for work & hope feet hurt less. #
  • @sharone75 Maybe the producers told her to act speechless so they could have a compelling promo? #
  • Freezing. Trying to decide what to put in oven. No more buns! They eventually turn 4 and think they’re semanticists. #
  • Lemon squares sound good but don’t recall if recipe is allergy-free. Have to find it. #
  • Yep. Lemon squares have eggs. Could probably sub the butter, not egg. Darn. Could make more apple crisp but boring. Hmmm… #
  • I hate recipe site landing pages that come up in Google searches but don’t actually match pointedly. #
  • @bhdonovan I’d assume all eggs for now. We still have to get him tested, but chicken eggs cause an identifiable, severe allergic reaction. #
  • @bhdonovan We had ducks when I was little, so it’s possible I’ve eaten duck eggs and don’t know it. Mostly we had chickens. #
  • Maybe I can adapt an eggless cookie recipe to make apple spice cookies. Quick, easy, and better if we owned viable cookie sheets. Right. #

  • So much for the early bedtime. #
  • @judis217 Flatulent dog that’s been out in the rain playing with Mr. Skunk, perhaps? #
  • Appears Val may have a talent for throwing a well-aimed ball. Add the love of cars and maybe she’ll be the tomboy. #
  • Trying to scan paperwork for bureaucracy and convince girls they’d like to go to sleep. Impromptu toss with Val just wound her up. #
  • No way I should go to nbed this late after zombie-by-day routine. #
  • Just ugh. #
  • @sharone75 “Hey, did you know construction equipment can be loud?” “What?” “Oh, never mind.” #
  • @sharone75 Oh sure, put Gloria Gaynor in my head! #
  • @ScottAllen Happy birthday today? #
  • Learned more about the foibles of my fax machine. That’s also a scanner printer copier. That “runs out” of ink if you go 1 mo w/o printing. #
  • @almightygod Shouldn’t there be only one, making for the world’s simplest table that even CSS could represent? #
  • @almightygod After all, there can only be one Apple. :> #
  • @phillymac Misread that as you’d had a meeting with death! Wondered for a sec what the close brush was. Meetings pretty bad too, though. #
  • Fascinated that Henry’s cheeks turned red from eating apple crisp (assuming he didn’t get residual cheese same time). It’d mean a spice… #
  • Which I’d been wondering about already. Cinnamon, nutmeg, a little ginger, negligible ground cloves. Nothing else could be issue. #

  • Henry is clearly not drop dead allergic to cherry. Wasn’t keen on grape skins, even cooked soft. Not that I may know #
  • If the reaction is slow, since he just ate part of a pumpkin donut Sadie was eating while he bathed. Milk. Eggs! #
  • Mild, but he immediateky started scratching as if it made him itchy. Otoh it hasn’t been to unusual degree yet. #
  • Had kids asleep before Deb got home! And me, sitting here with sleeping baby on my lap. Gotten good at holding on in my sleep. #
  • Yep, tornado watch: http://tinyurl.com/5wkm4o #
  • @johnhawkinsrwn Yep, that’s not as uncommon as you might expect. $90 is cheap, depending on depth of cleanup. #
  • Trying to get the girls settled back down.. One would be asleep if not for the other. Looks like they will displace me. #
  • I’m beyond sleepy. Lasted surprisingly well, but about an hour into could close eyes and be out cold territory. Val is wide awake. #
  • @drjjoyner Happy birthday! #
  • Cool pic? Or videogame skeleton creepy? http://www.wordydiva.com/?p=173 #
  • Job 1 for today: getting fingers healed some before doing anything that aggravates them. Fits with making lists, computer stuff, dry work. #
  • OTOH typing makes some of the fingers hurt/worsen… #
  • Need sleep apparently, if after a relatively long night of it I can drop out cold sitting here & have to lay down. At which point… kids. #
  • Also… who told the boy he could climb? NOTHING on my desk is safe anymore, at any height, unless I completely move everything around. #
  • Anywho, plan was to make a list and start plowing through some stuff. Office cleanup moves to fore though. Fell asleep blasting The Who… #
  • Following 3rd mug of coffee. Not promising. #
  • Outside: 50.4. Inside: 75. Not in the warmest spot. This is why heat is not yet on. I’m suffocatingly hot. Long way to keeping it 62. #
  • How long can I go on getting grumpier to the kids each day? When will they learn to read tone? Extrapolate logically? Sheesh. #
  • @Shurakai Yep, doesn’t it? I’ve watched it several times and am most intrigued. #
  • Where did the day go? Still have hours of work to do. Still feel like sleeping. Time to make supper to put kids on early bed trajectory. #
  • Hope it sticks better tonight. Wish my right foot didn’t hurt & weren’t all swollen. Apparently unhappy from over a week ago - hurt toe. #
  • At home, too, not at work. Could swear I broke it. #
  • 3 Weeks in, and I get a raise after a month just for handling it that long. I still have to master the need to sleep & do other stuff but… #
  • Really it’s not THAT bad. Intense, but brief. It’s cool being reshaped and muscled in the process. Anyway, time to cook… #
  • @CaseySoftware We’d want to see it just for Quinto, even if it weren’t looking as well done as it is so far. #

  • Still a bit late with the bedtime. #
  • Longer day, like 3:49. Almost got to sort small packages part of shift. Oh well. Lot of incompatibles work instead. #
  • Think I have trick for early bedtime figured out. Will try deploying today. Or not, since Monday is my next one. #
  • Now to drop money to landlord and get home. #
  • Kudos to Dunkin Donuts for their outstanding online ingredient & allergy info. #
  • Darn! Missed a perfect workorder for Monday at same end user via same buyer as my last one. Lower $, but close & good people all around. #
  • Baby was napping in office when it came in, while I did dishes. Nice progress there. Weird wearing “one size fits most” gloves for it. #
  • At best I’m at the large end of the “fits all” spectrum. Makes for awkward and uncomfortable. #
  • @gmtrojan Happy birthday! #
  • @abigvictory Ha!! That’s the kind of thing I’d do, as Sadie especially is already learning at the tender age of 4. #
  • About to serve kids Henry-safe chicken fried rice. Not the 4:30 supper pictured but still early. #
  • Power outage. Kids. A match made in heck. Very hard on batteries. #
  • Chicken fried rice was great. Served fruit cocktail on side, 1st time. Big hit…. #

  • Tonight’s lesson: making things look more 3D. #
  • OK, trying the whole going to bed thing again. 3 hours until alarm time, and need to try not to snooze through an hour of alarms this time. #
  • Tweetwalking. Since I am, you know, asleep. Otherwise I’d be starting to have the sensations and behaviors of one sleep-deprived. #
  • @pixxiespaz Improved on the crisp by not packing brown sugar, almost doubling oatmeal, adding apples, letting mixture be lumpier… #
  • @pixxiespaz going slightly light on nutmeg, adding heaping 1/4 tsp ginger, dash allspice, tiny pinch ground cloves. Cooking time goes long. #
  • @pixxiespaz IIRC it did 1st time too, to be sure apples cooked well, but this time that didn’t overbrown the topping. OK, bed now, really. #
  • Trying to figure how 3.x hrs a day by 5 days, where x usually .2 to .5, is 15.6 hrs total. #
  • Yep, had one extraordinarily short day last week, and most not overly long. The day I can’t account for would have been 3 hrs even. #

  • WTF happened to the UCC section on negotiable instruments we studied to death in business law? #

  • Where did my country go? I’d like it back please. #

  • So NOW it’s all but impossible for me to stay awake? Thanks body! #
  • Hands beyond sore. Aquaphor helped a lot, but hate them feeling greasy. #
  • Kids requested grilled cheese with tomato soup for lunch. Running awfully late. Not awake enough. #
  • This workorder would be promising if it weren’t 90 minutes round trip. Computer work should come out substantially above slinging packages. #
  • @sharone75 Dry, and just counted 11 cracks, cuts & cratered spots between the two hands. #
  • Back to absurdly late lunch. Just wanted to review workorder that appeared in short form on Blackberry. Kids starving. #
  • About ready to spring for paper plates b/c their plates are my biggest dishwashing challenge. Might be worth the $. #
  • Hmmm… Reunion.com got red-flagged by Site Adviser. Someone friended me there and I clicked through from e-mail. #

  • Must remember Val likes potato skins. Chicken meh but Sadie ate a ton. Well received overall. #
  • Way late going to bed. Almost had the twerps asleep at a reasonable time, Sleep deprivation seems to be converting to unexpected pain. #
  • @Pistachio Yep, I was remarking about the same ones. Feels like a test or a low key DDOS ramp-up. #
  • 6 Helpful people didn’t show up this morning. Good it was a fairly light day. #
  • @CloudySky Just yesterday I went looking at your profile to see if I’d simply been missing tweets. Glad you’re OK and back. #
  • Freezing! #
  • Put Sadie’s new sneakers on her. Perfect. She’s so excited she’ll probably leave them on all day. Only her 2nd new ones ever, IIRC. #
  • Hand-me-downs rock, but getting new is cool. #
  • @cmiper Wow, that’s $50 less than my old Blackberry was! #
  • @MikeG1 It’s the best commie plot since Tetris. #
  • @neatlytangled But… but… supply & demand doesn’t work! Greedy capitalist oil sheiks! It’s a conspiracy! Er… something something? #
  • Torn between needing to do something to stay warm (sleeping under blankets is probably not an option there) & staying at computer. #
  • Besides maybe apple crisp, wonder what to bake to warm place. #
  • @caltechgirl may find this list interesting, at least #10: http://tinyurl.com/6zqens #
  • Badly want to sleep. Kids are having snack food for lunch. Was considering burgers but maybe that can be supper. #
  • Apple crisp slightly modified from @pixxiespaz recipe in oven. Next up: burgers & leftovers for supper. Kids are hungry! #

  • Mmmm… chicken burritos. #
  • And the kids ate like crazy, which isn’t always so. #
  • Should post about Henry’s food issue status. He eats blueberry preserves now, for instance. #
  • But we gave him benadryl tonight for 1st time in more than 2 weeks, because he touched dairy, & possibly canned refried beans factored in. #
  • Howling at a funny “West Wing” DBWI thread on soc.history.what-if newsgroup. Treats last 20 seasons of our White House as if it were show. #
  • I liked Palin, but the comparison to Peggy Hill’s character busted me up. #
  • @Shoq Career? I have a career? Heh. Maybe that’s what’s wrong… #
  • @caltechgirl So far we’ve been lucky & it hasn’t been especially cold. Thus being late sealing windows with plastic. #
  • Must finish filling dishwasher & run it, then sleep. 2 AM is too soon, & I can’t sleep comatose 4-5 hours during day tomorrow. #
  • @MitchWagner Ooh, you’re probably right. Clearly she has to be back, then has to be disposed of story-wise. #
  • @MikeG1 We get a lot of sleeping on floor here too. They go back & forth on it. #
  • I’d love to stay and tweet, but must try to sleep some before alarms start sounding at 2 AM. #
  • Must get sleep tomorrow night. Er… tonight. You know, before the next shift after this one. #
  • Another day, another haf hour of pay. Er, I mean 3 and a half hours. #
  • It’s nice for $10 to buy a meaningful amount of gas again. #
  • Can’t get warm. Feel like I’m getting sick. Was fine at work where is was *actually* cold. #
  • When did the kids get big enough to eat 6 largish hot dogs between the 3 of them? And the eldest eats the least. #
  • Transforming into the mean Sleep Deprivation Monster, a kid-triggered condition. Gamma rays need not apply. #
  • Argh. 350 somehow changed itself to 250, which’d be why baked potatoes not especially done yet. #
  • Looks like there’s a massive spate of nonsense WP blog comments, probably automated, happening today, perhaps trying to get past filtering. #

  • 3:15 come awfully soon. Tuesday is the early day, not 3:30 like the rest. #
  • Heroes interesting, love flashbacks. 6 Days to cycle kids to proper bedtime (”no, we DON’T have a bedtime!”) to make next Monday easier. #
  • Ugh. But not nearly as much so as last Tuesday at this time. #
  • Almost 4 hours. Messy wrapup. Did a bunch of loose end help after unloading was done. #
  • Apparently I needed sleep. #
  • @abigvictory Sort of like a virtual vagina monologue! #
  • That was way too much food. #
  • Which means I need my 4th & 5th mugs of coffee now. Or is it 5th & 6th? #
  • @neatlytangled You’re welcome? #
  • Have http://tinyurl.com/27nnu4 stuck in head, but replacing interjections with motivation, which is gone. #
  • Hurting. #
  • @shartlen My work here is done. #
  • OK, back to making supper. #
