Odd Theory
I just yesterday wondered whether some of how the family perceive and treat me is a subconscious response to the prediction a doctor made that I’d be mentally retarded after my babyhood near death experience with meningitis, and that actual minor coordination damage that once made me seem duller than my high IQ and long since essentially normal physical ability. The last overt version, physical not mental, was at 17 when my grandmother questioned whether I’d be able to drive and should be getting a license, what with my horrible nerve deformation.
